They did (as Collection 1 and Collection 2), but this time it's a complete set. The show had a complete set for DVD but not on Blu-ray at the time so hence why I put Blu-ray release next to the collection name.

Sentai Filmworks October 2014 - For their 'NOT FINAL' cover art, see here
First of all, Rightstuf actually leaked the preliminary BD cover for Rozen Maiden: Zurückspulen, which confirms that there's a BD coming.
I hope MVM will acquire Rozen Maiden Zurückspulen for Blu-ray release.

Either way... I hope Sentai Filmworks have asked the Japanese for the actual 1080p masters and are re-authoring Bodacious Space Pirates to 1080p, and if that's the case I hope MVM will delay their BD release for Bodacious Space Pirates and release the superior new BDs. I don't mind seeing the complete collection delayed to December or so.

- It kind of surprises me nobody acquired Kill Me Baby for UK (Blu-ray) release yet. Hope somebody will actually do this.
- If it comes to Fate/Stay Night I would like to watch the franchise on Blu-ray. Hope they fix this BD release as well.
- Sunday Without God is a great announcement, I expect MVM to acquire that. Will definitely buy eventually. (probably the UK release then though)
- Hakkenden S2 is something I'd watch if I feel like it, but it's not of great importance to me.

Psycho Pass Part 1 and 2 have been cancelled and will now be released as a complete collection
Hope MangaUK will share the reason for this at MCM or in their next podcast.
Is it because they realized how awful (according to others) the BD masters are for this series, or did the Japanese just allow them to go straight to complete collection?
Or is it because there'll be a collector's edition which hasn't been listed yet? We'll have to wait and see for an answer.

OOP MVM titles:
- Hope to see Elemental Gelade return to (Mystery) Deal of the Week. I really want to get this.
- I'd get Gun x Sword if I could find it at a reasonable price tag, but given it is in single digits and won't return to DOTW I'm a bit lost as to what I should do.
- Read or Die is of interest to me, wonder whether Anime Limited would be interested in giving this a Blu-ray release.
- Slayers is something I never considered due to the mess if it comes to the format etc. Hope the franchise isn't doomed alike Patlabor the series though.

All in all, both Elemental Gelade and Gun x Sword portray why I don't like this backlog of titles to buy I have.

Other short comments I have to make:
- Funimation September schedule: Nothing of interest. HAL is something I'll get from Anime Ltd. And I'll get Steins;Gate from Manga eventually.
- Funimation Baka & Test S.A.V.E.: Had hoped to see Baka & Test complete collection BD release alike Spice and Wolf. Not sure how I'll get a hold of that show on BD now.
- Funimation has High School DxD OVAs: Good, hope MangaUK gets them out as well and don't pull a Baka & Test in region 2/B...
- Funimation Ben-To incident: Sure, why not?
- New Hanabee licenses: I hope Black Bullet, Chaika the Coffin Princess, No Game No Life and Beyond the Boundary will get dubbed (by Sentai/TBA distributor).
- AIR JP BD-box: Anime Ltd? Please. With dub aboard then of course.
- Mardock Scramble III delayed: Sure. Kazhi remains Kazhi, until the end of its days. I kind of canned my plans to get the UK BD of Mardock Scramble. Spine+Kaze+...
- Seven Seas adds Vampire Bund 2: I want to get all the Dance in the Vampire Bund manga at some point, so this is good news for me.

Small "news"/tidbits from the MangaUK Twitter feed:
- One Piece movie 8 might hit Blu-ray in the UK as a value edition, but there are no (firm) plans as of yet.
- MangaUK states that no English dub = no Blu-ray in most cases from them. (Makes me wonder whether Princess and the Pilot is a forced BD release)
- Gintama movie performed poorly for MangaUK, so it's unlikely that the second movie will hit the UK.
- MangaUK will change the combopack banner if @OldMario changes profile picture. (Can't tell whether he's serious)
- The One Piece Movie combopack has a reversible cover. (And the One Piece series probably won't be hitting Blu-ray (as expected)).

Elemental Gelade won't be on DOTW. MVM said they're down to their last few units.
I'm a regular here, so it'd surprise me if I'd have missed that message by MVM. And I regularly, as in daily, check their Twitter and FaceBook feed. (But you're probably right though even if they didn't state it yet)

The only thing close to what you suggest is:

Gun Sword, Kyo and ROD won't as we have the last of the stock, all of which are now in single digits. For the others it depends on how much stock we actually have left.

To be honest, I feel Gintama is rather complicated to handle for release. The show is full of Japanese references there's no way it could translate and sell well for the English public, the franchise might as well be one of the few that should stay Subtitle only (like Monogatari), on an unrelated note shows like Oreimo and The Flowers of Evil should also stay subtitle only.

But I would like to see the series get released in the UK, Manga won't bother (as said it flopped) and MVM can't handle big shows (that's why they aren't bothering with Patlabor TV Series if you're wondering) so that leaves once again All the Anime.

And confirmed

Hi everyone.

For all of you looking forward the release of Psycho-Pass we have some news for you. Today we can confirm that due to high demand we will be combining the upcoming Part 1 and Part 2 releases of Psycho-Pass into one Complete Series Collection!

This Complete Series Collection will be available on DVD and Blu-ray from 1st September. (These changes will be reflected with retailer listings shortly.) We'll have more details for you very soon.

High Demand? Did you demand it? I didn't demand it... Anyone demand it? Oh, high demand! A tall person must have demanded it. Gandalf went up to Manga and slammed his staff down "One Psycho Pass!"

Genuinely thought you were talking about me for a second there ;)

So it looks like the Afro Samurai games is getting a Sequel. Talk about out of nowhere, but wait, there's more!

Legend of Korra is getting a game as well from Platinum games. Talk about two surprises out of nowhere. Sure they are both games, but they have some link to here, so better here than gaming.

What? I just read the comments and sounds like some of them haven't even played the game. I thought the game was pretty good, very difficult but worth playing.

I'll be looking forward to his sequel.

As for Korra, I guess every fans reaction is this:

The Haruhi BDs are being reissued in Japan by the looks of it.
Season 1 (Which is just a QTec upscale) will be re-released on the 19th of August for 22,680 yen (~£131). Includes 3 BDs and two CDs.
After amazon discounts and such, maybe they're hoping more people who want the BDs will be able to stomach two separate series purchases rather than the whole thing at once.

So it looks like you guys with the US version can get an artbox for both digibooks but it's a Funimation shop exclusive.

Blehh. I already have part 2 on order but a box would have been handy to keep things together. Oh well, I don't want to reward them for store-exclusive boxes anyway :(

Are you f**king kidding me Funimation? This is a stupid move from them, not only were they finally listening that we can get an artbox but they place it as a Collector's Exclusive which no one outside US and Canada can get, on top of that the ridiculous pricing for the set. I can't believe this. :x

I don't think the whole artbox being CE exclusive thing has been confirmed yet. It might just be that all the extra toot is exclusive again.

Hmm, tempting, particularly as a few people would likely prefer season 1 and would rather forget season 2.

Here's a random question. What do people thing of banding like this in releases?
Do you tend to notice banding? If you do, do you find it offputting or annoying in any way? Does it have any impact at all on your decision when it comes to purchasing a release?
