ANN have said it translates to

Rock scissors paper, rock scissors paper, rock scissors paper
So, what should I make, what should I make
In my right hand, a wiener, in my left hand, a pussy
Sex sex
Raw barley, raw rice, raw eggs
Talking dirty all day, all right!

But I imagine that the err....polite version :p

Qute. And here I was thinking the issue was that, when flipped upside down it spelt out the word "MEH"

I wonder if that will be the MVM license that they "can't wait" to tell us about? At the very least, a Crystal announcement from either them or Anime Limited would be good news.

Viz have just announced that they have all of Sailor Moon, with the original getting a decent BD release in the US and Sailor Moon Crystal on the way in due course.

That came out of nowhere. I thought they were going to consider Maison Ikkoku as the next big series title after Ranma. I'm satisfied with this result. :)

Blood Lad US release will include the OVA episode with an English dub.

Gargantia US release details will be revealed at Anime Expo. I doubt Manga will be able to achieve the September date if the US version doesn't arrive soon.

Surprisingly enough, this happened:

Some episodes of Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero have been given a 15. I'm curious to know how the other half of We Without Wings is doing for the BBFC.

It's a great time for magical girl anime fans these days. Guess I'll have to buy it all again D:

Wow, a new dub! Viz has used Ocean before so they might reunite some of the old VA's.
Do you think Viz will get Crystal?

Now, Andrew, you and I might not see eye to eye on certain things (Namely the existence of the OS boxset) But you march your butt down to Toei (or Viz) and you shake them till AL has the Sailor Moon Licence!

We can't have Sailor Moon be Kazi'd (or for that matter Mang'led) and this would make Wakainm be the place to watch anime in the UK (that isn't CR) and whilst MVM will do an OK Job and won't convert to PAL in the name of fart arsing, thier box design just stinks of HK Bootleg and, frankly, Sailor Moon has enoguh of those.

Seems like all the anime will be announcing five new properties between now and the end of mcm expo. According to their blog they will announce Two on Thursday, one on their expo stand and two at the expo panel on the Sunday.

Excited to see what they've got but starting to think ttgl/outlaw star are the only things they'll be releasing between now and end September.(Edit re releases and standard editions not included)

Personal Holy grail announcement is natsumes book of friends.

Surely if Viz have announced this for the US, than the UK/European distributed will be Kaze?
That's the case in Germany, France and Italy (and from what I've seen they've all been slammed as "Too expansive, not good enough reencodes" so typical Kaze behaviour) but I really don't want to entertain the thought for as long as humanly possible.

Besides that, the Tiger and Bunny movies were Viz and Kaze in the US/Rest of Europe but they got released by AL in the UK and Accel World is Viz/US and is being released by MVM so there's hope yet that we won't be under the thumb of the Kazies or the Mangolians yet.

AL said they would announce 2 licenses at their panel, which has Aniplex of America as a guest, so I'm guessing thats who they're from. My guess is Mushi-shi and Anohana.

Natsume's Book of Friends would be great, but I wonder if NISA will be giving that the dub treatment.

With or without it though it's going to be an expensive year for anime.

Don't forget he has some rescue licenses as well. So hopefully one of them is an old title that was once part of (old) Manga UK or ADV, like Royal Space Force [I'm bringing this title up a lot because all signs point to Anime Limited].

Well that's interesting, that rating covers episodes 1-3, which have the two instances of fan service that most would consider as too far. I guess just because we consider them distasteful it doesn't actually mean that it warrants an 18.

I've not seen We Without Wings so maybe things won't go the way you might expect?

I haven't seen the show either but I have seen numerous amounts of trailers thanks to Funimation's discs and some knowledge that it's a harem/ecchi show adapted from a Visual Novel. I had a check and it does have the OVA (Episode 00) which bumps the fanservice up a lot apparently so maybe that's why there's a bit of a delay for the listing. The Funimation LE is cheaper than the other LE releases so I might pick it up at some point.

Perhaps Aniplex of America are attending in relation to the upcoming Kill la Kill home video release? Like, maybe they have some big announcement regarding it or something. Or maybe, Aniplex of America and Anime Limited have formed a deal, where Anime Limited distributes AoA's Japanese import releases in the UK? There would obviously be some hurdles (such as the BBFC) but if a deal like that was ever possible, it would be pretty darn cool. [/Won'tHappen]

Or, because MangaUK are reluctant to license the Puella Magi Madoka Magica movies (because iirc, they only want Rebellion but Aniplex are only selling Beginnings/Eternal/Rebellion as a set), Anime Limited have picked up the license and are doing something special that warrants Aniplex of America being there.[/AlsoWon'tHappen]

Or it's a controlled lynching, where the anime companies in the UK have all come together to say "Want to complain about stupid licensing terms we have to put up? Well, here's the guy".[/IBetWeWon'tGetAQ&ABecauseThisWillHappen]

I'll be honest, I want that to happen (haha).

Zavvi have jumped the gun on some unannounced upcoming MVM titles (these probably would have been announced at MCM Expo):
> [DVD only] (SRP DVD: £29.99) 18 August 2014: MYSTERIOUS GIRLFRIEND X
> [DVD only] (SRP DVD: £29.99) 01 September 2014: KOKORO CONNECT

And there are some street dates for some other interesting properties:
> [DVD & BD] (SRP BD: £29.99 ; SRP DVD: £24.99) 15 September 2014: FROM THE NEW WORLD - Part 2
> [DVD & BD] (SRP BD: £49.99 ; SRP DVD: £39.99) 22 September 2014: BODACIOUS SPACE PIRATES - Complete Collection
> [DVD & BD] (SRP BD: £49.99 ; SRP DVD: £39.99) 29 September 2014: TORADORA - Complete Collection

The Bodacious Space Pirates BD release is presumably the same as the Australian 1080i release as it'll be over 4 discs.
The ToraDora UK BD release is over 3 discs, as is the Australian release. No collector's edition for the UK, sadly enough.

I really hope the MVM representative asks his boss and the designer to rid all Q3 covers of:
- disc count labels on the spine (really important)
- and where possible also the BBFC logo where the box is going to be less than 2 cm wide.
And either way it'd be great to see clean reversible covers with Blu-Ray releases.

Also, my apologies to MVM Entertainment for firing the news-gun (but inevitably somebody else would have noticed before MCM Expo if I had shut my mouth).

For who's wondering, it looks like all of MVM's Q3 schedule has been revealed now. Given they usually only release one title per week.
Whatever their big announcement is at MCM Expo (presumably either "Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai" or "Garden of Sinners"), it's probably meant for Q4 release.
