Project Update #3: English Dub Cast for Patema Inverted Announced Right Here!
Posted by All the Anime ♥ Like

I hope you all are enjoying your bank holiday Monday! We've got some more exciting news in today's update! A lot of you have been asking about the English dub - is the dub included? Will it be a stretch goal? What is the cast of the English dub? We answer all these questions and more below!

English Dub Cast (courtesy of the talented folks at NYAV Post):

Questions:
So, first things first - yes! The English and French dubs are included in this release. This is already in the early stages of production so no, we will not be using Kickstarter to fund it. We've already gone ahead ourselves so that will not be a stretch goal.

Will the extra video content discussed as possible stretch goals be tier-specific?
Nope. Any additional video content we source, add or create with this Kickstarter campaign - be it stretch goals or add ons - will be included in all the tiers. So whether you backed the £16 amaray release or the fancy pants definitive edition, everyone will have the extra video content on their copies! :)

And finally, for posterity's sake, we've listed the English dub cast below and linked to the voice actors' previous work below.

AGE: Michael Sinterniklaas
PATEMA: Cassandra Lee Morris
G: Bill Lader
IZAMURA: Richard Epcar
KAHO: Stephanie Sheh
LAGOS: Chris Niosi
PORTA: Robbie Daymond
JACK: Patrick Seitz
MALE TEACHER: Marc Diraison
ADDITIONAL VOICES: Olivia Charles, Wayne Grayson, Bill Rogers

Time coding by: Kirsten Perotti

Until tomorrow dear backers, have a great rest of the long weekend :)

Remember when Funimation removed the listing for Devil is a Part Timer for Blu-ray/DVD in the July line-up? Well, when they announced the English cast they confirmed the release date is still July 22nd. And it's region locked to A|1.

Senran Kagura is also A|1.

Well that's annoying.

They did? Can't say I recall it being removed or a big fuss being made, though it was something I was keeping an eye on.

More A only stuff, I said this earlier in another thread but do we know of any good Multi Region BD player available at this time? I snagged one a few years back which is serving me well but I think we need to point people towards the available options given how many things are either A only or have poor B releases.

Both titles were presumably removed at the time of the reveal and were suggested to arrive in August instead.

I'm not that fussed since I set my laptop to Region 1/A (US) while my PS3 handles Region 2/B. As long as PowerDVD works on my laptop, I can play all of my Region A discs (VLC can handle Region 1 if something happens).

The only place you can get a multi region BD player is to get a modified one as the toshiba BD players that could be made DVD region free and BD multi region are no longer available and those that you can get your hands on are being sold for around the same price as the modified machines, and they're rather pricey since the cheapest one from multi region magic is currently the Panasonic DMP-BDT130 3D bluray player which is being sold at a reduced price of £159 (the next one up is a sony 2D BD player for £10 more).

Anime Limited have launched their very own shop!

And if you wish you can back the KickStarter through the means of PayPal from now on!
I'm one of the people who asked, I mainly asked for a friend (and some other Dutch people who I'll try to notify later tonight), but it's also more convenient for me. =P

Day 4 of the Patema Inverted Kickstarter brings you some more interesting and exciting news! I know it sounds kinda cheesy when companies say they are listening to YOUR requests and demands, but it's true in our case. What am I talking about? Well....

Can we pay via PayPal?

We heard you all loud and clear - many people have asked if we could offer a PayPal option to back our Patema Inverted Kickstarter so we looked into making this happen. Long story short: yes, you can now back the project via PayPal through our newly launched shop on our Anime Limited website! We will update everyone daily on the funding when we consolidate the figures so you all can keep track of where we are in terms of meeting stretch goals! So have at it and feel free to back this project with confidence :)

You can find the shop here: http://shop.alltheanime.com

Where can I see Patema Inverted in the cinemas?

You can always check with patema.co.uk for cinema listings, but I've also included them below. You can also catch Patema Inverted in Scotland thanks to the Scotland Loves Anime summer tour taking place now! For Scottish dates, please visit the tour.lovesanimation.com page.

I would order from the shop as Tiger and Bunny: The Beginning for £14.99 is tempting but when I went through Paypal they added £10 for shipping!! Heavy Goods apparently....lmao

I thought I had a pre-order for Outlaw Star on Amazon but apparently not. Pre-ordered it through the store now anyway. Now the wait begins to see whether it surfaces anytime soon :D
The thing I find amusing about AL's shop is that it's exactly the opposite of Manga's in regards to pricing. Everything is priced competitively, and with the news that freebies may become a thing in the future and that they'll ship items whenever they get stock, I see no reason at this point not to make my purchases directly in the future.

That's one thing I never understand about buying direct from the supplier, you cut out the middle man so things theoretically should be cheaper. You only have to look at the likes of Arrow film who run ridiculous sales every now and then with even brand new titles half price off, to see how a good supplier operates.

I guess Manga's strategy has always been to sell through the most mainstream channels they can reach, so any direct sales which lower their turnover at Amazon etc would be a risk for them since the distributors might not order so much product in future. Anime Limited has nothing to lose experimenting like this and it seems to work well enough for MVM, so good luck to them!

Would anyone who has MVM's release of Fate/Zero be able to post the BDMV sizes of each disc? (Either by viewing it on PC or using certain BD players e.g. BDX3200)
I might pick it up for the English LPCM Audio track, and I do honestly feel like I should buy the LE considering they put the effort in.

Due to the arrival of Funimation's release, Attack on Titan will be taking a few month breaks for each season (or arc) of the main series on Crunchyroll.

Episodes 01-13 will be unavailable from May 20, 2014 – August 19, 2014

Episodes 14-25 will be unavailable from September 9, 2014 – December 9, 2014
Meanwhile, it's fully for anyone with anything less than a dead straight moral compass from the usual channels.

Because fun if Manga wouldn't f'ing follow up on that whole "TV IS DEAD SO WE MUST MORDERNISE!" nonsense they spouted a while back.

Manga's store seems to be run by MVM rather than Manga themselves.
