Funimation's QC is getting as bad as Sentai's. The fact they'd been given the broadcast masters instead of the Bluray ones should have easily been picked up on.
Sankarea should also have been fixed and out the doors months ago. What the hell is the hold up?

19:55:14 <bay|SC14|FUNi> Q: Steins;gate movie

19:55:55 <bay|SC14|FUNi> Q: Freezing S2?
19:56:15 <bay|SC14|FUNi> A; Yes, we did the simulcast, but i don't know about the home video release...

19:56:22 <bay|SC14|FUNi> Q: More Kenichi?
19:56:24 <bay|SC14|FUNi> A: I wish
19:56:44 <bay|SC14|FUNi> The licensing team looks at everything.. they talk to japan
19:56:50 <bay|SC14|FUNi> the licensing process has changed dramatically because of simulcast
19:56:56 <bay|SC14|FUNi> we're looking at stuff before they are made
19:57:11 <bay|SC14|FUNi> we're talking to acquire rights based on the show pedigree, the cast, the creatives, and do negotations for shows that don't exist

19:57:17 <bay|SC14|FUNi> Q: DBZ Battle of th eGods?
19:57:22 <bay|SC14|FUNi> A: No word at this time

19:57:28 <bay|SC14|FUNi> Q: One Piece Movies?

19:59:11 <bay|SC14|FUNi> A; Don't know if we have BD rights... it's an old series
19:59:23 <bay|SC14|FUNi> I'll be honest, Mushi-shi wasn't the highest performing title

On a happy note for some folks, El Hazard BD-Box has a new date.

Except for the UK by looks of things.

In addition, the company will host Sword Art Online II Premiere Screening Events in the United States, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. More details about the streaming and premiere events will be announced at a later time.

A new manga from the creator of Ouran High School Host Club begins in May. Urakata!! is about a "super-negative" high school student who encounters some people on his campus who make his life even worse.

Manga UK want suggestions about possibly using Scanavo packaging in the future. I god hope they don't, it's the reason why I was put off from buying Oblivion last year. Fandom Post folks have done a poll to see whether they would buy one.

Hi Folks! Jerome here. I wanted to hear from you about @Scanavo #FR4ME packaging. Have u heard of it? Do u like? pic.twitter.com/vI0gezpAIn

It's highly customizable and the frames come in most pantone colours. You just pop the frame off and remove and change the inlay card. >JM

I was curious about it's use as special packaging considering the customizable nature of them and our penchant for

...including sets of 4 art cards in some releases. You can actually use this on the sleeve and back, so you have multiple

... choices for your sleeve and back cover. I quite like this aspect to it. >JM

Same size as Blu-ray case and 14 mm thick like a BD case. Same width as a steelbook. >JM

They print onto a heavyweight 300 gsm card that's laminated and feels like plastic. Double-sided print, so you can have

... up to 12 variant designs include in one pack or at least 4-8. If we have a lot of good artwork it's pretty rad. >JM

And while reading that, Ghost in the Shell: Steelbook edition is arriving at the end of September.

Also, Strike Witches movie is apparently stuck in licensing hell.

Well, Scanavo packaging is really unpopular with the folks at Blu-ray.com, so MangaUK can kiss goodbye to quite a lot of potential sales to that market if they use it. I think it's quite flimsy and not very appealing myself.

Grav pls. I literally typed all that up, hit reply and you'd already ninja'd it in that time.

Sorry about that, I tend to do it a lot. :|

And Yuyushiki is getting a DVD release this July if that's what you've been worried about.

Anyway, I can probably see myself picking up From The New World Coll 2, Watamote and Mayo Chiki.
I'm also wondering whether Yuyushiki being listed as BD only is a mistake. I can only hope it's not.

That packaging is hideous. Do not want. It look like it's designed for a cheap and nasty kids show release.

Just googled Scanavo packaging and I see they like overlapping discs in cases, then I go back a page and see those hideous example screenshots. A double No from me.

I hope they don't, that packing looks rubbish. You should have got the Oblivion steelbook.

Why would I be worried about that? I want DVDs to sod off a die, and I'd hoped that Sentai were going to release a title BD only.

It's a seriously lame packaging solution as it lacks a spine.

Regarding the Sentai August releases, I'm only interested in Short Peace.
