Much like that whole kerfuffle from Inazuma Eleven's UK Lock out on the 3ds Store from last (or was it two) week(s) back, it's more the principal of the matter more than the practicalities. Sure we can deal with it now, but what stupid demands will they foist on us next time?
I actually have some privvy information about the Inazuma Eleven situation - basically, the reason the games keep on being released is because they sell well in countries like France and Spain. In England, they sell terribly. That is one suggestion I've heard as to why the UK didn't get it rereleased on the eShop - because it just isn't worth it.
Oh gee, I wonder why, what with the NOT CARTOON ON TV and everything.

Also, poor sales are no excuse to suddenly turn around and cock-block one country exclusively (Because if there's anything worse than bad sales, it's slighting people that make them do dumb stuff like, say, suddenly not buy any more of your games, I'm certainly in no mood for Layton vs Phoenix Wright no more if that's their attitude) It's bad enough when they were doing it on a region basis, if they start doing it on a country basis then Nitnendo's really doomed.

Amazon have pushed back Outlaw Star again: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Outlaw-Star-Com ... =anime+ltd

Wonder what this issue is that keeps causing it to be pushed back? If this listing is correct.

QC revealed a video drop-out on the English version that needs to be corrected - which meant things had to be sent back from Japan to us. To be honest - I'm at the point where we'd get some understandable complaints either way - releasing the brief drop-out or not. So I figure may as well just get the job done properly!

Good to see that QC is finding these things!

They should have been finding these back in November.

I'm going to say this now, I will come down on this like the Hammer of God if even one millisecond looks off after all the time they've had to get it right.

The more issues fixed the better the final product will become, so I don't mind if there's more delays especially when you're releasing Durarara!! and Tiger & Bunny in the same month. At least you're not doing a Sentai Filmworks/KAZE on us (releasing the product with an issue found on Audio or Video that doesn't get fixed at all).

Oh, and here's the main menu for them two:

That said I really don't want "Doing an Anime Limited" to become "Expect at least a year of delays to ensure they have their Is crossed and their Ts dotted".

And I really dont' want this song and dance to start all over again when we get to the GL Boxset or the Mai Mai Miracle release, or the ongoing Wakanim process which is still lacking in a certain Studio Trigger show, the option to physically own which might have taken me from Sev 1 to Sev 3 following this little episode of kick the release date down the road.

Being an anime company is hard. Mistakes happen (this is a fact) and you have to pick whether to let them through and blame the faceless suits in Japan like certain UK companies do to please the crowds, or own up and fix them at major cost to yourself (both in delays and in the fix) and minor cost to the handful of people who placed preorders. Either way, people will blame you.

Personally, I hate buying things with avoidable glitches so I prefer the second approach. YMMV.

Personally I like buying things and I don't like getting (four, is it at this point?) four on going notices about how I am not going to.

So, you know, make the third time the absolute limit on these things, I'm all for QA but there's QA and turning your release into Schrodinger's Cat.

In fact if this new date is the final one I will eat my hat (gladly, as that means I get the damn thing).

Just had a check on the Durarara!! vid above and I noticed something:
- Disc 1 w/ 1-7
- Disc 2 w/ 8-13 (+ 12.5)
- Disc 3 w/ 14-19
- Disc 4 w/ 20-24 (+ 25)

Looking at the cover art for the Durarara!! BD, the discs displays #7-13 for Disc 2 and #21-25 for Disc 4. This is the same issue as Bebop, while I like the fact the episode count is shown it would be easier just to call it the first disc as Disc 1 to avoid silly mistakes.

FYI that is fixed on the final version as we were awaiting final disc split from Siren at that point. I QC'd the disc arts again before we went to print so it's actually on correctly for print.

See below for images (you print off a square so that's why you can't see the disc shape as well.

Huzzah?

To be honest - it's a pretty easy choice if it's the above vs what I can only assume would be torrents of abuse for this error from the veritable plentitude of people out there (a capture error is one thing, something that detracts from the actual enjoyment of the show due to no audio, or video is a completely different one I believe).

I don't like making anyone unhappy or annoyed and believe me - nobody wants the project out the door more than me! You can't easily make money when it's not actually out for starters...

That said - if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.

Judging by the Audio options and seemingly lacking of an English Signs/songs track, I'm assuming your release of Tiger and Bunny The Beginning is Viz's release locked to region B

Probably is, the Australian Blu-ray release was cancelled from what I remember.
