Heh, most of Penguindrum is rated 12, but there's enough on disc 1 of part 2 of Penguindrum to get an 18 for "strong sexual threat". I flicked through the Random Curiosity entries for the episodes in question (I'm guessing it's eps 14 and 15) and it seemed a bit errr...interesting. I'm not that surprised, just amused that everything else is still a 12

HAHAHAHA This made my day. Wow.

It's going to look odd having everything a 12 except for one of them being an 18. Well, it'll work when you have this on the cover:

Just checked the other latest ratings:
C - Control receives a 12
Fate Stay Night film receives a 15
Linebarrels of Iron receives a 15
Naruto Box 14 receives a 12
Patlabor: Early Days OVA receives a PG
Steins;Gate Part 2 receives a 12

Cowboy Bebop BD Box 2 will arrive on 14th October 2013, same day as Perfect Blue BD/DVD Collector's Edition, Perfect Blue DVD, Shinkai Twin Pack BD and Shinkai Twin Pack DVD. The Bebop DVD Collection is getting the cover art approved then the official date will be revealed.

I'm starting to doubt the Shinkai Twin pack will come out that they, we haven;t heard anything about it recently,, and no cover art. If all three are released on one day though, AL will be getting a good chunk of money off me.

Anime Limited: we may have a wee Shinkai announcement that we'll be making very soon! Keep your eyes peeled as I'm sure it'll be worth it.

I'm so excited to see what it is. If it's a new license related to Shinkai, it's obviously going to be Garden of Words. Andrew did responded to someone telling him/her not to import the Blu-ray release from elsewhere.

Can anyone tell me what the Mum's thought of Redline? I can't view this in Australia.

Also within a press release today, it was announced that the upcoming special: Pokémon The Origin is to be in a timeslot from 7pm to 8:49pm on October 2nd. This special features a return to the original narrative and joins Red as he travels through the Kanto region. We'll provide full coverage of this, including pictures, in full upon airing

After Funimation asking fans about continuing Dragon Ball Z on Blu-ray, it seems that Season 1 will be released on Blu-ray on the 8th January. Since Level 1.1 and 1.2 were region free, this one could be too.
DRAGONBALL Z BD SEA 01 (Net) (C: 0-1-1) 01/08/14 SRP: $44.98

They sort of enjoyed it (they liked the love subplot). One of them knew the concept of racing because they watched Nascar races. They also commented at one point about the nudity and wondering how the film earned a PG-13.

I'm really hoping that enough people selected the original 4:3 aspect ratio option on the surveys they sent out for this. This could be one of the definitive presentations of the show next to the Dragon Boxes.

Well fun fact, the Level Blu-rays were in it's original ratio. The Season BDs should be the same.

One question. Sorry if this is a stupid question but...will this release be missing 20% of the picture like the orange boxes did?

No. That was also mentioned in this thread already, with a link to an ANN page of evidence.

Indeed! The screenshots from the Level Blu-rays looked amazing.

Best case scenario: the costs of doing the transfer have gone down enough from them to just continue on exactly as it was with the level sets. 4:3 video, little to no DNR, a respectful cleanup job that leaves the grain intact and the triple audio option.

Worst case scenario: They revive the cropped, DNR'd to hell masters from the Orange Bricks and slap em on these BDs at minimum cost.

Agreed, I was planning on getting DBZ but I couldn't decide between the UK release (replica release of US but with the 4% speedup), US release (with its original speed but cropped), Kai Blu-rays or waiting for the Z Blu-rays.

There is definitely going to be a delay but for good reasons due to something I'll announce next week. No surprises really though on that front but it changed the release format somewhat ;).

I keep thinking about getting the Kai blus myself, but now I'm wondering if Manga will release them... I have the US Z Season boxsets (got them as they were being released) but the cropping is now annoying, where as previously it was that or nothing.

Thanks for giving us some news regarding the release. I am so excited for this announcement.

They will probably go to BD later like Blue Exorcist. A silly release pattern, and the reason I'm not buying Zetsuen No Tempest.
