I do wish MangaUK would speak up to Kazé about the poor quality of their releases. /quote]]/quote]

On a facebook comment Manga said "We have made Kaze aware of the complaints we’ve received."

So, fingers crossed.d/quote]t/quote]
Hopefully Kazé listen to those complaints../quote]
But will they actually do anything, or just let the tumbleweed roll around.

Section 23's releases for September with covers & details. That's a pretty NSFW cover for Elfen Lied.

The Golgo release interests me there.

This boy caught a merman might raise a eyebrow or two to be honest

Gotta say I did not expect Nyan Koi to get a dub, I enjoyed the sub only so might pick that up.

With all those releases the DVD/Blu Ray have the same cover but not the Queen's Blade one, I wonder why that is the odd one out?

Because Aniplex gouging on the right format for the series is tots OK because they packed in a bunch of **** that does nothing but clog up my shelves like so much cholesterol.
If it isn't obvious to you at this point that their releases are not for you, then there is no helping you. Why do you continue to upset yourself over the fact that you don't want to pay for what they are offering?

I am bemused why anyone would pay their prices, but there are obviously people who are willing to otherwise they wouldn't still be in business so that's their choice really.

Damn, Anime Limited really mean business! The cherry on top would be if the price of the BDs can match Bebop! Confession time: I've never seen Gurren Lagann  . This will be my chance to rectify that.

Is Anime Limited leaving any beloved classics for the other companies to rescue? :D

Definitely a good acquisition to have back in circulation here. I have the sub-only DVDs from ages ago but if the price is right perhaps it's time to upgrade.

I might be tempted to upgrade to blu-ray as I also own the sub-only dvds.

Recently picked up a bunch of Aussie blurays, including the Haruhi movie... works in my PS3, so I never really understood what went wrong with the UK release - they shared the authoring with Madman...

They said that the master they got from Madman didn't work in a UK PS3 which lead to the delay and eventual cancellation of the BD release (I actually stopped using my PS3 for BD video playback after a partial failure of the BD drive which was before Haruhi movie BD-gate ever happened).

News from ANN saying that Madman are going to release Bakuman on sub only DVD in Aus later this year.
Hope they're not sublicensing from Kaze.
Why would Kaze, a French company, have the Australian license?

Hanabee have LUPIN THE THIRD: THE WOMAN CALLED FUJIKO MINE

Release Date: 16TH OCTOBER 2013 (PART 1)

so we know where Manga will be getting their DVD masters from, probably.
Note that Hanabee are releasing the 13 episodes in two parts for whatever reason.

Sorry, I don't really know how the system works, but I assumed that since Manga sublicense a lot of titles from Madman that they might do the same with Kaze. It just seemed too coincidental since we just got the release ourselves.

Anyway nevermind, I got my answer from Madman.

Confirmed on Facebook too...

Bakuman - We will be doing subtitled only DVDs. We have only acquired season 1 for the time being, but we will look into doing more if successful. Blu-Ray is definitely not on the cards for this release. Regarding the subtitles issue, we are going to be having a look into this and make sure the subtitles are corrected from the UK release.

It is reasonable to expect companies to share assets when possible to save on outlay, and there is precedent, with Madman using Kaze's Blu-ray masters for Code Geass and Persona 4 when they released those.
