When swimming tonight I got called a pervert by a girl (guessing 14-17 age group), basically she was doing back stroke and I didn't see her in time after getting out of the way of another oncoming swimmer so accidentally crashed into her.

There should be a rule against people doing back stroke in an open pool, it's ok when it's been laned off.

Ah well, stuff happens. Nobody was hurt.
Did you touch her boob or something?

She only had one boob?

Following a tutorial, I made my first ever game yesterday. :D It is a very simple affair (click on a moving object to make it reappear in another location, at an even faster speed, which you then have to click again, and so on indefinitely).

It's not polished whatsoever, but it helped introduce me to sprite/object/event/level creation. Gonna do another game/tutorial tonight. :)
Sweet! And in your defence, that actually sounds more interactive than Call of Duty.

Haha! :D I can't comment; I've never played a CoD game, although I can't really say I've had any desire to.

What are you using for development? Flash?

I've decided to use GameMaker: Studio. And despite the generic software name, it's actually a pretty comprehensive 2D game development program. I didn't do the second tutorial last night, but I am doing it now, and it's a Breakout clone; unlike the last game, there's a bit of coding involved, using a custom script called GameMaker Lanuage, or GML.

Bravo to the BMW X5 driver whom thinks double white lines in the middle of the road don't apply to them, nearly causing a head-on crash overtaking on a blind bend.

And bravo to the unmarked cop car following me spinning around and putting on some blues & twos going after the bugger.

Wow. Well that person certainly isn't helping the perpetuated stereotype of BMW drivers, are they? :p

In other news, I've completed the second game tutorial. I have made.... a Breakout clone!

This one had quite a fair bit of coding involved. It said it would take only 30 minutes to complete the tutorial, but I wanted to make sure that I understood everything about what I was typing out, rather than simply trying to get to the end and having a completed game. If I rush things, I'll end up being pretty useless when it's time to make my own game! The tutorial ended up taking me 2 - 3 hours to complete. As well as that, the tutorial had quite a few errors! That, or it was made for a previous version of the program and is thus slightly incompatible with this one. I was able to use trial and error to change the coding, and some settings, in places to get it to work properly. I haven't finished with this game, but since I've completed the tutorial, for now I'm done with it. I will come back to it, though, and try to make it even better. :)

Maybe I should make a blog about this stuff.

Anyway, on to the next tutorial! Although it's getting a little late, so I may go to sleep now.

Actually, GameMaker also has drag and drop capabilities. :D In fact, the first game I made had no coding whatsoever. And the coding tutorials talk you through the meaning of the coding you do. Since the language it uses is a custom one designed specifically for this engine, you can learn this code through the program and tutorials without having to pre-learn any other languages.

If you're interested, you should maybe check it out. The free version allows you to make games for Windows and Mac. With the tutorials, a simple game can be made in 30 to 180 minutes, or so (and then using what you have learned, you can expand it with more levels and features).

Those unmarked police cars are a force to reckon with! it was only a few weeks ago that i was driving home at around 2am when a car went flying through a set of red lights at the crossroad infront of me, a white bmw with all blacked out windows went through the lights after him... stopped dead centre ofthe crossroad and the blue lights started flashing away and it tore off down the road after the other car.

Isit just me or are there more and more kitted up cars on the roads at the moment? Sure i've modded my car but it seems that every tom, dick and harry who has a car is now putting aftermarket spoilers, alloys, blacking out the windows and applying bodykits to their motors?

My car is lowered anyway so i couldnt imagine putting a bodykit on it! Viper stripes are still in the box they arrived in, i'm just waiting for the right weather so i can put them on, cars windows are to be tinted this week and i've already completed the interior mods... its the keeping it clean thats a right pain! all this snow is lovely until it turns black and is splashed on the side of my car!!!!

BMW drivers are a dangerous breed, think they own the road and try at every possibility to show it.
My main hatred goes to Corsa drivers; half of them are oblivious to everything else on the road... the other half are "boy racers" with their 1litre engines... i dont condone it but i've been at a set of lights on a dual carriageway and a corsa has decided to try and "race", never one to back away from a challenge in anything i tore off when the lights hit green and the corsa honestly believed he'd win in a 1litre :/ hopefully in some twisted logic i've shown the 17 year old that racing isnt the way to go - you'll lose either the "race" or your license

What is it with BMW drivers?!
Also yesterday, while I was in the car with Mum, I saw someone doing an illegal U-Turn...and there was already a police car running the blues and twos at the top of the street. Wonder how that one ended.

So, my older brother is currently in a Facebook-Like contest or his band to get a chance to support My Vitriol. If y'all would be nice enough to go here and like the comment with the "Black Cats & Guillotines" video in it, that'd be swell.

I was looking at train tickets to go from Romsey to Portsmouth this Saturday (for something to do), and the price ranges from £7.25 to £27.70.

How on earth does going via Eastleigh carry a £20 premium than going via Southampton is surprising

I feel like I'd want to buy the pro version if I was to use that in order to get the most out of it, but it'd feel like a waste of money when I inevitably stop using it after a week.

I've checked my emails to see whats going on, seems my credit card details have expired because i upgraded my bank account to a gold card so my card details have to be updated, i've submitted them now and with abit of luck they'll process those changes tomorrow.
