Great time in london with missus on tuesday, my mother severely pissed me off yesterday so huge argument and i've finally played my ace card. So for now she can shut the hell up.

Also, at work HR have met with me regarding transferring me to another base due to one of their "policies" i quoted laws, shot them down pretty quickly. now their giving a 3 month period to find me a job with equal or more money, my travelling expenses paid for still AND it doesn't cut into my life anymore than it is right now. So as advised by a friend who knows his stuff with laws: i'm now joining a Union. I'm going to basically try and get the most from this job as possible and fight them tooth and nail if they dare try to get rid.

Man.... such a pissed off mood today.

Had a good time with kayls family lastnight, sometimes i wish that my life was completely different, then i remember kayls.... and its alright again.

iPlayer is a douche, it won't let me watch Scream (probably some copyright ********), if I knew this was going to happen I would've watched it last night instead of thinking "Can't be ******, must sleep"

I know of a place where you can watch it online, just give me a PM if your interested

It's roughly £0 to buy the movie these days... but not already owning Scream is something I can only shake my head at and tut loudly.

I have discovered that I am not adversely affected by consuming raw horseradish. My roast beef shall henceforth have a little more bite to it.

Spent friday evening watching the cowboy bebop movie. Was a nice way to wind down the week, with a fosters in my new Guinness glass I bought in London on the Tuesday.

On the Saturday I got up and went to town, met up with the gf and went shopping for things for our holiday. Bought Crysis 2 for £30 and still yet to play it (might give it a play through tonight) Had a large big mac for lunch (good times to get to eat the junk I used to on a lunch break where I used to work) Came home from the gf’s about 10pm which is very early but I didn’t want to just sit there all night, was in a restless mood. Wanted to go play some pool or do something atleast. So went home, stopped off at the co-op and bought pizza + garlic bread, lemonade and cola. Sam came round and we played the ps2 game star wars battlefront 2. An epic game :)

Yesterday I spent the majority of the day just at home, playing online monster hunter tri. Going round the gf’s tonight…. Off for an Indian with her folks and her sister (+ her bf ) Can’t wait for Thursday, work becomes somebody elses problem for more than a week ^___^

I’m abit worried with all this harm weather.

Got home lastnight and played hours of Crysis 2, brilliant game! Then I went downstairs for a while. Came back upstairs….. turned on the ps3 and it loaded up… then turned itself off, I kept trying to get it to start…. Till it happened. It turned itself off and flashed a very angry yellow light in my face.

Took nanoseconds for my heart to basically stop in its tracks and I sat there motionless.

Called round all my techy friends, some said to call sony, others said to buy a new one. I chose my own option = browse the web for a solution. I found out that the ps3 can yellow light if its too hot. So the dedicated fan below it didn’t compete with the heat of the day plus hours of Crysis 2? I’m giving it a rest (hell I turned it on for the first time in over a month an a half!!) to see that it can survive, I’m hoping its just the heat that’s causing it, as I’d let it stand for 30mins before trying it again and it started up without fault for about 5 mins before crashing again.

Sounds like you've got the same problem as me Tachi.
It flashes yellow once then slowly flashes red?

My PS3 does that, if you can convince it to switch on it should work. Unfortunately its an absolute pain to get it to do so. My PS3 now lives on a shelf in the corner of my bedroom because of this.

Yeah mike,

What happened was, it was running fine. i tried to update my trophy information onto my facebook account, had to input the password. it froze then crashed. turning itself off then the red light flashes on and off.

after 6 or so tries at getting it to live again, it started up (had to unplug it from the back and everything) it loaded up everything, i managed to get some info off of it but no save data. before it crashed again, flashing the yellow light before it went to red. I'm pretty sure its the temperature doing it ( my ps3 lives on a shelf next to a Wii, surrounded by games on either side. below is a shelf full of dvds and games. above is the tv and above that is a stack of anime dvds.... so in the cupboard/wardrobe thing its in.... i'm hardly surprised its heat related. i did dedicate a fan for the ps3 to cool it down but i think the recent rise in weather temps where too much for the fan to cope with (rather than blowing cool air onto it, it was warm air)

Hoping that when i get home tonight, it'll be working fine again. if only until i can back up everything to my external harddrive.

I'd back it up fast. My fan failed and I never realised (I have poor hearing), so even though my PS3 was in a cool location with plenty of airflow, it overheated one day dramatically and never came back up. Couldn't even get my disc out without surgery.

I now have a new PS3 :(

@Rui,

Yeah my first ps3 the laser somehow broke so it stopped reading discs, atleast it allowed me to back up to my external hard drive (sits to the right of ps3) But this time round its not turning on for more than 4-5 seconds.... i managed to get some time with it yesterday, pulled all my pics and music off it.... sadly it flatlined when i tried the back up process.

Its the 60gb gen so i'm really gutted, it's either going to cost me a few hundred to fix it, (don't forget sony charge £80 to just look at it, thats not even to look and fix it) Or... i accept a friends offer of £150 for her 160gb ps3.

I wouldn't care as much if it wasn't an exclusive model (with the 4 usb ports and multiport area at the front with backwards compatability) and i could atleast save my game data :(

Looking at it on unofficial websites, there are people who can fix this cheaper than sony and i'll get my system back within a week. But i'm not comfortable with posting my console to a person i've never met before AND paying him. (potentially the same as paying someone to rob your house)

A few of us have been down that road at some time... It's just a faze, my friend. ;)
I think it may be a good idea to journey to town and buy some sort of entertainment.

Anyway, amuse me AUKN, I prey tell that you are doing something of interest today?
Interesting stuff? Not much really, sorry. I've just been playing Mortal Kombat most of the day, but later I'm going out to meet up with a mate at the pub. 1st time out with the lad, so it might be a long one.

If you're going to immitate Zin in saying "Pray tell", at least learn to spell it correctly Stu.

Not to mention your posts read really strangely lately. You use words like "journey" (as opposed to say, 'a trip') to make it seem like you have a wider vocabulary, but then you follow it up with something like "entertainment", which would be good, but the way you've used it just feels wrong. Why not just put something like; "I feel it may be a good idea to venture to town to buy some form of entertainment" - you could quite easily replace entertainment there with any synonym. Alternatively of course you could just type normally and say "I think i'm gonna go to town, see if I can buy something".

I'm not that good with grammar, so maybe someone else could help you more than me, but your posts really do read horribly lately dude.
