The General Conversation Area

Now I've given the TV to the repair guy, I feel I made the most complicated choice.
Have to wait on an exact price after carrying it to him.
If it's too much, I'll have to carry a new one from the shop.😵
If you do get a new one, it’s prime day in a few weeks if you can wait that long. I imagine a whole bunch of other stores will have similar sales to compete so Curry’s might have some decent prices then. I believe Prime Day is the 16th and 17th but don’t sue me if it’s wrong 🤣

Not collected yet but it's fixed. Just had the call.
£70 so I'm happy enough.
Now just the difficult task of deciding my afternoon viewing.
Unfortunately I think I've ran out of over powered MCs.
Oh well, there's always a rewatch of Eminence in Shadow (really happy S2 is getting a physical release) or Agent Aika.

Well done for making a decision and getting it sorted, is Agent Aika the one with all the panty flashing? (I think I remember you mentioning it on here before) 🤣 I had a portable multi-region DVD player for a while that I enjoyed watching stuff on on my bed as a teenager, there's a certain novelty to it that's fun, and seeing the small screen up close is kinda intimate? Interesting to think about how the method we use to watch a show or movie affects our experience of it :)

Yeah, it does. I'm glad I've got it but it is rarely used, which is why I didn't watch something I really enjoy on it and put on Jujutsu (blasphemy)

Agent Aika
Aika R-16
Aika Zero
Najica Blitz Tactics
are my go to 100+ (went panty blind after this - it's a real medical condition) panty shots per episode anime. There's a story and action included.
I guess if you're fighting you need a short skirt

Hi there, I hope everyone is well.
I just binged Alice in Borderland on Netflix and it was really well made.
Very dozily I assumed throughout that Chishiya was the white rabbit because he has white hair and a white coat.
Then I looked it up, and said his name out loud.
What a doofus 🥴🤣 now I am at 'that time of life' stuff like this is a regular occurrence...

I am guessing he was the Cheshire cat? XP

Is anyone watching the Olympics? Discovery+ are doing a £3.99 per month deal to get full access for the Olympics. I'll probably cancel it after it finishes. It's a shame the BBC don't have full coverage anymore though.

This morning I watched a bit of volleyball, swimming, handball, shooting, basketball, and judo. No interest in these sports whatsoever, but they're pretty fun to watch at the Olympics for some reason.

I've also seen that there's going to be breakdancing at some point? 😂

I've been subscribed standard subscription of the Discovery+ channel via Amazon video for about 2 years now, it is pretty good. Unfortunately they recently started locking away lot of the content to the premium subscription which is £30.99 per month, which I don't think is worth the extra cost.

Yeah, there does seem to be a lot of whacky shows in the standard subscription, like all the ghost hunting programmes and conspiracy theory stuff.

£30 seems very steep for a streaming service, but I'm guessing that's because it includes all the premier league football and other sports, which pumps up the price.

I can't afford to get anything extra this time but next olympics I probably will.
Just on the watching back of this morning's as I was out and I wish there was a 'Skip Punditry' option 😆 i fast forwarded iPlayer but you can't see where you're getting to so is a bit trial and error. This morning over 60 minutes of chatting about it 🥴 show me some dang sport!!

£31 a month for premium. What on earth do you get for that level of cost?*
Considering that Discovery+ does have an awful lot of reality TV crap when I was looking to signing up.

(* I guess it involves a lot of sport, as sport can cost a lot of money)

As for the BBC talking away, no surprise there, they probably think talking so much justifies their likely pay packet
