The General Conversation Area

well guys i'm going to head off and wait out the deadline for this call, if nothing is heard after before 6 i can safely assume that i wasn't successful (i know its six as that's normally when the shop closes) so i'll talk to you all tomorrow at some point (or later on tonight if anyone is on here and chat)

later guys :)

Later Black! *knods* Hope you hear somthing mate. *crosses fingers*

@Chaz: Fare enough! There are two choices anyway... the other (which I didn't mention before) is to work, work and work some more untill you are pritty well off. Make sure to save ALOT and then retire when you are fifty and party the rest of your life away. Heh! That;s my plan... welll.. maybe not to party, but to go out and see the world at least.
:D

I might do the same too. I'mhungry and the screen's starting to strain me.

Cya l8r all, and thanks for the help (probably check back this evening).

Alright you two, have great evenings.

I won't be on tonight. Now that i'm back i've sorted out lads night again. (the guys are so lazy that i knew they wouldn't organize it in my absence....i was right) anyway.....time for either a carvery or off to aroma for a chinky buffet fit for kings.

If it wasn't for the bills.....i wouldn't have a job for a year, i'd go live on chaos's couch.
To hate your job must be human condition... =) I'm constantly searching for something better. And you're welcome if you need a place to crash in London.

Trust me... A) I dont fit in any of those now (no lessons to attend, no shifts to truely work with.) B) You'll regret having lots of free time and nothing to do with it. Even a trip to Hawaii only lasts so long.

I want to job to keep me busy and to get money to survive. I couldn't care less about expensive holidays and all that. (I'm needy, but I aint selfish and greedy). Otherwise, I feel like I'm living without purpose. *Sigh* The worst thing I'd ever want to be useless and taking up space.
Well, I'm a bit selfish and a lot greedy =P
I can't find the link right now, but I remember reading that unemployment is the cause for depression that lasts longer.
I understand the need to work. I've been out of work a few times back in Brazil and even though you have all the time you need to finish all the games you could aford, read as much manga as you want or watch all the anime you can, none of this make the feeling of uneasy and the uselessness to stop. It is also something that deeply hurt your self-steem.

Dinner with friends tonight - not worth of a king, but hopefully, the food is good enough =)

She's traveling the world and stopping at your house?? Heh ;)

Does that mean she's from abroad? Or is she just admiring her home country!

AND DID THOSE FEET! IN ANCIANT TIMES! WALK UPON ENGLANDS MOUNTAINS GREEN!! *ahem*

^ she's american

Loads of yankees around this time of the year. the lady surfing my couch this week is also american.
That time of year again, I see.

---

I suppose I'd like a stable job and some small accommodation in a safe area. Lapsing into fleeting optimism, I might like to stay in university after next year also.
I have however concluded that the main factor affecting these eventualities is the consistency of my good luck: If every relevant occurrence beyond my direct control goes my way then I'll be a happy camper. If not, as may well be the case, then at least I'll be in a position to adjust my plans as and when necessary; in the long term I lack any solid objectives.

plans ? what plans?

My only plan was to become a millionaire by winning the Euro Millions, but this is proving a bit hard to come together....

ok, let's talk about scones.

Cream or jelly first?

I found out that using cream on top avoids bees, but keeping the jelly attracts them on the other hand.

I had a badly written letter from Morrisons today saying I didn't get the job, on the topic of them.

I'm actually relieved. Turns out thier **** to work for.

Congrats, Chaos... You didn't make it past one post for it to get back on track. :p

And Ryo hates scones anyways, so not a good topic for him... I like them, but I like the ones with raisens in, and usually without butter and such.

Shall we engage in the skoʊn vs. skɒn debate? It's the primary cause of the north-south divide, don't you know.

North/South divide? I prefer a more "Normal people vs bloody southerners" approach to it myself. Amusingly we kinda proved the existence of this gap at uni by having a conversation in black country dialect and leaving someone from the south with no clue as to what we were saying...great when me and a mate from Cannock needed to say something without anyone else knowing what the hell was going on.
