I bet @Neil.T is Googling Welsh national costume as we speak...he wants to see the tall black hats that look like they belong in the 17th century...

I'm going to have to disappoint, for whilst I haven't worn full Welsh national attire, I have worn the shawl and skirt combo...I don't recall wearing the hat. They sell them in all Welsh shops here though, like Welsh gifty shops...

some ov the girls in my primary use to wear those and the guys looked crossed between crimbo elf and bilbo baggins, we would wear those near St.Davids or something like tha' we would also wear those for folk dancin' aswell, but the girls often wore summort flashier for tha'

despite the fact tha' welsh folk dancin' were pretty much like chrismas lights where if one was buggered you all were, and even if it was proper, the girls wer wearin' thick sole shoes and kickin' crotch height

I don't recall doing any dancing...I imagine it to be something like morris dancing or something...
