I take it that’s a no then?
Indeed.I take it that’s a no then?
That sounds quite painful and very infuriating when you first tried to type afterwards. How much of your finger did you lose?
Some of the roads aren't that bad, most important ones have been gritted, but in some areas that collect the wind there are snow dunes as big as meHow much snow do you have there now? I love to go out driving in about 3-4 inches of show, I love practicing my "drifting" skills without wearing all the rubber off my tires, lol... Love sliding sideways around corners in the snow. The only thing I don't like about driving in the snow are other people who are still out driving when they get scared stiff just seeing a couple snowflakes falling.
Remind me to tell you about my DVLA story at some point.I know, I've had letters where they've failed to get my middle and last names right on several occassions.
Did they.... call you the completely wrong name?Remind me to tell you about my DVLA story at some point.
They made the classic spelling mistake with my surname on my provisional licence, so I sent it back to them with a cover letter correcting the spelling. What do you reckon happened after that, dude?Did they.... call you the completely wrong name?
Really? Seemed like none, literally none of the roads here had been gritted. Some of the roads aren't that bad, most important ones have been gritted, but in some areas that collect the wind there are snow dunes as big as me
They corrected it incorrectly! They made the classic spelling mistake with my surname on my provisional licence, so I sent it back to them with a cover letter correcting the spelling. What do you reckon happened, dude?
Correct! And they did it in spectacular style... by replacing my first name with the corrected surname, and leaving the incorrect surname intact. They corrected it incorrectly!
Wait... so you have the same forname as surname? They’re just spelled differently? I dub thee Neil Nlie!Correct! And they did it in spectacular style... by replacing my first name with the corrected surname, and leaving the incorrect surname intact.
*massive facepalm*
I saw this programme once (an episode of Watchdog or something) that showed some of the DVLA's best blunders. This included a licence with an expired date earlier than the "valid from" date, and another with "Untied Kingdom" as the country. How???I get you can click the wrong box but when you’re correcting an error surely it’s sensible to yknow... check your own work is correct.
Haha. I like the untied kingdom one, it’s true, we’re all falling apart!! As for the expiry date being before the valid from that’s just.... how???I saw this programme once (an episode of Watchdog or something) that showed some of the DVLA's best blunders. The makers of the programme took this woman who'd been battling unsuccessfully for months to get an issue with her licence fixed directly to the DVLA office in Swansea, and it got sorted in no time. When a spokesperson was asked why there didn't seem to be any coherent system in place for fixing mistakes like that, he replied "Because we don't make mistakes."
!!!!
You’re from Gurren Lagann?!?The latest update to Google Translate now includes handwriting, so I've been practicing writing my name:
