As someone who has handled records I can empathise.

But yeah, it's just b****y annoying. How many attempts should it take? They're not difficult names to spell XD Literally EVERY correspondence I've had, I can see the mistakes right away!
Yeah. I just don’t get spelling names wrong, they’ve most likely got a copy of the name infront of them.

I know right? XD Yet in job adverts for admin or secretarial positions, you need to have some qualification in touch typing. If touch typing results in getting names wrong perhaps it's time to reassess what really is the priority!

Meh. It’s fine, everyone else does so you may as well too.

Haha, maybe just some light ribbing here and there...but, you know, I really do want this job...in records no less..

If anything ever goes wrong in records for me and you get that job I’m holding you personally liable.

My keyboard is just not very touch sensitive, you really have to punch the keys, it's ****!

Haha, and I am purposely using a 30 year old IBM Model M keyboard on my home computer because of the stiff, klicky klacky feel to the keys, because I really pound my fingers on a keyboard when I type.

It's okay, BCUHB probably aren't responsibly for the records of people who live "just north of some and just south of others"...

I'm placing you in Birmigham then based on that!

Maybe they have autoincorrect as well?

Of course, it's how they role! You can't expect the secretaries to make these mistakes without the necessary tools now!

Yeah, that's me. It's really loud and clanky. It's like an elephant is typing actually...

I don’t care if I’m in your records or not. I’ll still hold you personally responsible.

Treat your keyboard like a lover not an enemy. It will show you it’s gratification.

I'm not well versed in keyboard courtship thes days I'm afraid...do I buy it a pint? A bunch of flowers? Give it a clean between the keys with one of those mini blow-brush things?

If it still responds to its keys being pressed then it’s not dead.

Well, none of the characters have rubbed off the keys yet...

I kid you not, when I moved into the CAMHS department to help the secretaries there, the first thing I had to do was ask estates for a new keyboard. Literally every character was worn off, and I couldn't make head nor tale of it! It was so funny!
