Yes. Then do such a half arsed job I’ll b*llock then until they do it again properly or they just don’t bother coming out of the vans. True story; when my mom moved into her place a lot of work needed doing to it. One of them was reskimming the walls/ceilings. What did they do? They skimmed over the plaster already there. Their inspector wasn’t very happy. Nor were they when the inspector stood over them making them take it all off and do the job properly.

I’m similar to your dad there, I’m not a tradesperson however that doesn’t mean I don’t know what they’re actually meant to do. Tbh if most things need doing around here I’ll just do them, unless yknow it’s like eltrical stuff or more serious plumbing stuff. Actually make that any plumbing stuff, they decided to put the stopcock BEHIND a cupboard so no one can use it.
