Nothing knocked my socks off here. I'm not a fan of most first-party Nintendo franchises though, so your mileage will probably vary. The new Mario Kart being open world is a surprise, but I find open world racing games rather slow and bloated experiences. The only thing that got me excited was the start of a trailer that looked like it might be the fabled Final Fantasy IX remake; turned out it's just a port of Bravely Default.
No confirmation of whether any changes have been made to the analogue sticks to prevent drift (ie. whether they switched to Hall Effect sensors). Some Switch 1 games will get Switch 2 upgrades, but unlike early PS5 releases you will have to pay for the upgrade (no price on that yet). There are
compatibility issues with some Switch 1 games; it's definitely a worse situation than PS5's solid backwards compatibility at launch, but not a complete disaster based on the lists of games with problems.
Nothing made me want to rush to get one at launch.
