So yeah I failed to complete more games than 2024 for 2025. I'm pretty gutted because there were so many opportunities to do so but procrastination and work balance kept getting in the way.

In January I finished
Alan Wake Remastered (PS5) and
Control (PS5), both also have their expansions and Platinum trophies acquired.
In February I finished
Alan Wake II (PS5) with its expansions which I started in January, plus visual novels
Punch Line (PS4) and
Steins;Gate Elite (PS4). All three have their trophies acquired as well.
March had no completions because I was playing
Persona 5 Royal (PS5) which was finished in April. Platinum trophy also achieved.
In April I also finished
Catherine Classic (PS3) as I like to call it since its the original release. Just the story for this one.
In May I finished
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (PS5) which I started in April. Platinum trophy also achieved. From here I took a break from gaming to focus on my anime watch.
In June I had a go at
Mario Kart World (Switch 2) and the
Nioh 3 Alpha demo (PS5).
July had no completions because I was playing
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (PS5) which was finished in August with the Platinum trophy achieved, and also
Ring Fit Adventure from this point throughout the year.
The rest of August all the way to the end of September I didn't play any games sadly.
In October I finished
Yakuza 3 Remastered (PS4) for the story.
In November I finished
Yakuza 4 Remastered (PS4) and
Shadow of the Colossus remake (PS4), both for story completion only.
And to round out the year I played a number of PlayStation Classics on PlayStation 5;
LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (PSP),
Star Wars: Demolition (PS1),
2Xtreme (PS1),
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (PS2),
Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings (PS2), and
TimeSplitters 2 (PS2). All six games each have their Platinum trophies achieved.
And the final game I finished was
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (PS3). Platinum trophy achieved.
Additional notes from this completion:
Of the 20 games completed, 4 were from purchased in 2025, 3 from 2024, 3 from 2023, 2 from 2022, 2 from 2019, 1 from 2017, and 6 were not purchased by played via PlayStation Plus.
For comparison 2024's completion had 8 from 2024, 9 from 2023, 4 from 2022, 3 from 2021, 1 from 2019 and 5 from PS Plus.
12 were PlayStation 5 versions (6 of which are considered as 'Classics' titles), 5 were PlayStation 4 versions, 2 were PlayStation 3 versions and 1 was Nintendo Switch 2.
12 were developed outside Asia/Japan and 8 were developed in Japan.
Only 3 of 20 were released in 2025 which were Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Mario Kart World, a third year in the row considering 2023 & 2024's completions also had 3 new games.

Before some or all of you go into an absolute panic, a lot of the Switch games are short or part of a collection so the number is expected to drop when I go through them.
