The Games You've Finished This Year

I figured I'd make a topic so we can look back at the games we've completed over the course of 2016. :)

Earlier in the year I started keeping track of my games and which I'd completed throughout the year and so my list of games looks like this:

  • Tales of Zestiria
  • Tales of Xillia
  • Yo-Kai Watch
  • Hatsune miku project diva X
  • Sword art online hallow fragment
  • Sword art online lost song
  • Azure Striker Gunvolt 2
  • Persona 4 dancing all night
  • Pokémon super mystery dungeon
  • Tokyo mirage sessions
  • Digimon Cyber Sleuth
  • The legend of Zelda twilight princess
  • Ace attorney dual destinies
  • Attack on Titan: Wings of freedom
  • Naruto shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4
  • Fire emblem Fates birthright
  • Fire emblem Fates conquest
  • Pokken
  • Life is strange
  • Fire Emblem Fates Revelation
  • Rhythm heaven megamix
  • Yo-Kai Watch 2
  • Gravity Rush Remastered
  • Pokemon Moon
  • I am Setsuna
  • Never Alone
  • Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

This year I delved into my backlog and finally took down a few games that had been lingering around for far too long. It's also worth noting that what I consider complete is simply the main story/campaign/a ranking on all the tracks for a rhythm game like Miku.

I'd say my greatest accomplishment in gaming this year though is getting all the trophies for Persona 4 Dancing All Night which was really fun to do. I am also really happy I completed every quest in Tokyo Mirage Sessions too. :)

So what have you completed this year and what is your favourite gaming accomplishment of 2016?

Man thinking back I'm really struggling to remember what I've actually finished this year, started plenty but finished very little, so

Dark Souls 3
Odin Sphere Leifthrasir
Uh....
*EDIT- Oh yeah, I also finished Xcom 2 (thanks Smeelia).

Jesus, considering the amount of money I have spent on games over the year that is shocking. I'm sure there must be more but a glance at my shelves and all I see are games I've started but not finished :s I guess the fact I play a lot of multiplayer focused games that you don't finish like DotA 2, Overwatch, Guilty Gear, Street Fighter etc make it look worse than it is.

Let's see:

Grim Fandango Remastered
Witcher 3 (kind of started in 2015 but I finished it and the expansions this year)
XCOM 2
Hitman (I haven't completed the Mastery of the last mission, which might technically be needed to count as complete)

I did also at least finish a playthrough of Fallout 4 but I'm not sure how much I actually played this year (I don't think it would have been from the start).

I'm wondering when I stopped being a gamer. To be fair, the above plus my partially played games probably adds up to quite a few gaming hours. Even so, my list of games played this year would be shorter than a couple of the completion lists above already.

Just one - Picross 3D Round 2.
I haven't even finished Pokémon Sun yet and I started that weeks early. I lack the time for video games.

Only 2 games I've finished this year:
Tales of Zestiria (PS4)...it was released in October 2015 but I actually finished the game in January.
Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel (PS3)...I seriously love this game and I highly recommend it.

Games I'm still playing:
Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II (PS3)...it's obviously the sequel and it's been put on hold while I complete...
Final Fantasy XV (PS4)...I had got the Ultimate Collectors Edition release. I love the open world of this game and the 4 guys. Just love how they interact with each other in such ordinary ways. It's probably the first game where actually like doing side quests and actively look for them.

I had to look at my Backloggery account for this and I'm surprised at myself, I honestly believed I hadn't played much this year but it turns out I've done loads!

From the oldest to the most recent;
Grand Theft Auto V (360) - Started late 2015, and finished in early January.
Burnout Paradise (360) - I dropped this, it's not my kind of racing game.
NieR (360) - Best game I played this year, hands down. That story, that music...
Fire Emblem Awakening (3DS) - I started this back in 2015, but took my time completing lots of the supports before finishing the campaign.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii)
Uncharted 3 (PS3) - terrible game, too obsessed with being 'cinematic'.
Star Trek (360) - much better than I expected, but still an average movie tie-in.
Forza Motorsport 6 (X1)
The Last of Us (PS3) - Not anywhere near as good as the hype made out.
Halo: Master Chief Collection (X1) - Glitchy.
Halo 5: Guardians (X1) - I think I'm bored of Halo now, it's just not the same without Bungie.
Dragon Age: Origins (360)
Resident Evil HD Remaster (X1) - A classic.
Resident Evil 0 HD (X1)
XCOM 2 (X1)
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (X1) - Was only £6, but still. Urgh. Never again.
Tales of Graces F (PS3) - On hiatus since FFXV arrived.
Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright (3DS) - I only play a little each day so progress is slow with this.
Final Fantasy XV (X1) - Biggest surprise of the year for me. I've been playing for a month now and I'm only halfway through the story, I'm still content to just do the side missions (though I am running out of those now, I should probably get on that boat soon).

I have a couple of dungeons to do and then I'll be getting on my boat. I've played just over 80 hours (that's a lot for me to play on one game)

I have no idea if I've beaten more games this year than usual or less, but here's my 2016 list:

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth (PS4) (Twice)
Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X (PS4)
Minecraft Story Mode: Episode 1 (PS4)
Pokémon Alpha Sapphire (3DS)
Pokémon Moon (3DS)
Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon (3DS)
Ultimate Angler: StreetPass Mii Plaza (3DS)
Yo-Kai Watch (3DS)
Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls (3DS)

I'm also basically right at the end of Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam but never quite finished it off, and I put a lot of time into Pokkén Tournament but never hit the credits. Digimon Cyber Sleuth is likely the game that I played the most this year because I originally beat it back in February and later fired up New Game+ to complete it all over again. :D

Well, looking at my list... (I consider a game completed if i've Platinum Trophied it, becuase i'm a bit anal like that, but anyway...)

PSVita
Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls
Persona 4: Golden
Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus
Megatagmension Blanc + Neptune Vs Zombies
Trillion: God of Destruction
Persona 4: Dancing All Night
Criminal Girls 2
Superdimension Neptune Vs Sega Hard Girls

PS4
Final Fantasy VII (I've completed this on three different versions now pfft...)
Megadimension Neptunia V II
Senran Kagura: Estival Versus
Omega Quintet

so 12 Plats, one a month... seems about right. The only two games i didn't Plat this year was Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization, which i've just done now, took forever... and Gal Gun: Double Peace, which i'm not very good at, but am slowly accruing trophies, so at some point this year i reckon i'll get it...

anyway, looking at my list you can probably tell what type of games appeal to me heh

10. Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds(3DS)
