Middlesbrough are on BBC this afternoon against Leeds. Arguably a somewhat critical game for us to win in terms of Play-Off places.

Best close your eyes as the 2nd Leeds goal has just gone in (these are the first goals scored for Leeds since Neil Warnock took over).

I should have but sadly I didn't. Oh God, the agony...

So, concerning the Boro match - we lost 2-0, we had a man sent off and we had another man stretchered off. Anyone got a gun to put me out of my misery?

Can't argue with that Ryo. My brother thinks Kenny will go at the end of the season (after winning the Carling Cup he now has a clean sweep of trophies).

We seem to be caught between 2 styles of play - play a passing game based around Suarez or play a game based around Carroll (build up involving more wing play and decent crosses which we don't seem capable of at the moment).

What exactly does the manager do? The players do the playing, the coach coaches them, so what does the manager actually contribute that allegedly makes a big different on a game-by-game basis?

Traditionally, managers are responsible for selection, positioning and trading of players, strategy and morale. Though in modern football, the manager seems to be more of a useful fall guy for club owners when the players' performances are poor and/or the club can't afford any better ones. This helps divert fans' anger at losing away from the players who are actually 90% responsible for losses, thus safeguarding their position as marketable commodities. The average modern-day manager is usually fired every season, unless the club manages to perform better than it did last season.

apparently denies that his players are racist and tells them to keep going on about it months later

-Bribe Agents for One's own gain!
-Get Involved with Association verdicts
-Kicks Football Boots, Hairdryers and Bottles at people.
-Intimidates Match Officials/Bribes Referees (added play time is usually the result!).
-Always say your team is [the better team/deserved to win/should have won] even if they got outclassed by a bunch of Underperforming Circus Animals!
-Drinks Alcoholic Bevarages Regulary!
-Chews Gum, Like a Boss!

Also, Did anyone see the "ghost goal" this weekend, the one that everyone apart from the match officials the guys who are in charge of these matches seen!

It's gone far enough now me thinks, goaline technology of some sort and free sight tests for all match officials is needed sooner rather than later! I mean the distance It went over line was like from my house to the offy!

Shocking news. I was watching the Spurs vs Bolton match on ESPN while having dinner. It only registered that something serious was wrong with when play had stopped for several minutes.

Latest news said that Fabrice Muamba was in a stable condition in hospital. Hope he pulls through all right. Puts the rest of the days football in perspective.

So this has been a good week for the team I support. Last Saturday they beat a team 7 - 1, Tuesday they beat Basel in Champs League 7 - 0 and today (or yesterday since its half past midnight now) they beat Berlin 6 - 0. That is 20 goals in 3 matches over like a week.

Bayern are back in good form!
