Overseas The Aniplex Thread

You guys think its worth getting the valvrave set? Personally never seen it.

I would recommend watching a few episodes on Crunchyroll first. I liked the series a lot and bought the sets on release but it was one of the more controversial titles back at the time and I’d be hesitant to recommend it to everyone. It still has a reasonable fanbase in Japan to this day though.

About time for Oreimo S2 on BD, and S1 returns on BD in a cheaper (relatively) set.

-edit-
Just looked at their website, looks like S1 is a re-print of the previous BD set, at least that means it should match S2 (and hopefully there no BS of extra physical items in this newer version)

I assumed it was a localised version of the Japanese box sets. Same artwork and contents but probably with a Blu-ray case rather than a digipack.

Your probably right, the artwork is the same, but that's just one piece of artwork and not a shot of the packaging. In which case they will probably do what they do with everything else and add 4-6 postcard style illustrations.

Didn't expect another round of Aniplex stuff so soon. Somewhat scatter shot listing practices too, dotting them all over rather than going month by month.

Just Owarimonogatari form these offerings for me.

Surprised Ranbu got a dub. Still buying

I don't know too much about this other than the figures seem to be very popular so I guess it has a solid enough fan base to justify.

They've got a shot of the set up now on Aniplex USA | Oreimo

Looks like your right, standard Aniplex style box with a BD case and a selection of art cards and English text on the discs (but the same art as the JP set). Given I have the original 'international version' there's nothing new here bar a few art cards so I can safely skip and wait for part 2.
