yeah that's about a tenth of what i ended up paying...

Although in hindsight that's all the series is worth really, probably even less then that, if i could travel back in time i would tell myself not to bother with it and get something different with the money.

I hate when the openings are better then the show

I'm gonna watch it online from now on

I'm still on the verge of getting wing depending on how much it is at the next expo
 
My copy of Darker Than Black 1&2 arrived! Loving HMV and their early shipping of pre-orders! Not so fond of the cover though:

Just came through the door not long ago, haven't watched it yet. Will watch vol. 1 tonight. I've seen the series before though and love it.

This release will probably just serve to build my hype for the second season.
 
My copies of DtB 1, Shigurui and Rozen Maiden 2 also arrived today.

I don't like the DtB cover very much, either. It isn't bad but the R1 close-up cover I saw on Amazon of Kuro looks far better.

I dropped DtB when it was airing. I'm only buying the releases because A) I want to finish it, B) I want to finish it in case the sequel is decent, C) I want to support Manga and D) the first six episodes are all awesome.

Be aware that the 'final' volume has a RRP of £15.99. What that means only God and anti-social Jerome know at this point.

Agh, my copy is locked away in the post office depot that seems to only be open for 2 mins a day! Can't wait to watch this! I also ordered Last Exile the complete collection for £18 off of Sendit.com

In addition to better art, the R1 singles have sexy shiny silver foil covers as well. They look classy. It's a pity we didn't get those, I guess, but I can't complain when we're getting that much content for such a reasonable price.

I'd be happy with Manga's releases if they provided slipcovers. Slipcovers would give their 1/2-3 series releases more of a box set feel. They did in the past, for stuff like Orguss 2.

If they had a thread on here, I'd post asking about that, also calling Jerome anti-social again for good measure.

They did with just about everything in the early days. I'd like nothing more than for them to go back to those good slipcases, the ones where the case slides out of one side which usually had different cover art too (like Ghost in the Shell). They make blu-rays look ten times better as well.

Vertical slipcovers however I can take or leave. They almost always have the same cover art and are often bent beyond repair so the spine isn't straight on the shelf (like End of Evangelion).
