Rambo the new one - 9/10

Great film for anyone who is a fan of the first 3 an also for anyone who just loves the gore factor (which there is so much of) in films. He may be in his 60's now but he can blow a man apart with the best of them :)

Actually I feel the first movie is in a different world when compared to the other movies. The last 3 were pretty much mindless action flicks but the first had a much stronger emphasis on the characters rather than how high the death toll was.

Would have to agree the first film is pretty much a classic and so much more thought provoking than just an average action film. Although it does have a few instances of silly over the top action.

Judge Dredd - 7/10

Seen it countless times before, though I still think this film is being carried by the hilarious dialogue alone, plus Rob Schneider's dipshit accent is funny at times too.
Not much reference to the original, but I always laugh at this film; ALWAYS.

Resident Evil: Extinction 6/10
Very ok. Think I prefered the first two to tell you the truth. Just wasn't enough monster bashing or story line :p Plus, it was left wide open yet again. I it wasn't for my love for the games my score may not have been so lenient.

The thing about this film is that it was nothing like a resident evil game, at least the other films tried too.
Anyway

No country for old men 10/10

Well, yeah it's in my top three of all time now

Harvey - 10/10

One of my favourite films ever. It mascarades as a lighthearted comedy but plays as a piece of social commentary that is still relevant even today. Great cast, excellent scipt and has some of my favourite movie quotes of all time. My favourite James Stewart movie.

"Well, I've wrestled with reality for 35 years, Doctor, and I'm happy to state I finally won out over it. "

Brilliant.

I've watched 4 over this last weekend so here's my scores

No Country for Old Men 9/10

House of a 1000 Corpses 4/10

Be Kind Rewind 8/10

Saw this and had to watch it again, I totally agree with the scoring one of my fave classic movies, never fails to put a smile on my face.

Beer Fest 6/10 - not as good as Super Troopers but still very watchable
