The Breakfast Club, 10/10.

Best Soundtrack Ever. I've decided I'm gonna work my way through all the Brat Pack movies now. Really enjoyed the characters and the 80's-ness of it all.

Jumper 6/10.

I didn't want to watch it, but I did because of Rachel Bilson and the fact that Anakin Skywalker now looks like The Leader of the Resistance. Sam Jack and the bad sci-fi made it even funnier.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, 10/10

It became an instant favourite anime production to me. T'was absolutely beautiful! I am already anticipating the time where I watch it again.

Resident Evil: Degeneration - 8/10

An excellent film. I'd heard somewhere that is was awful, so I wasn't expecting much, but I really did enjoy it a lot :]

The Haunting In Conneticut-9/10
The scariest film I've seen in ages, with some scenes that will stay with me for a long time to come!0_0Definatley one for those who enjoy a good ghost story(but not for those with a weak stomach!^_^;)

Mad Detective - 8 / 10 - it's a great movie. It had a few disconnected pieces, therefore I didn't rate it higher.

JCVD - An ok, rather dull film. Not a lot really happened, and what did was very straightforward - changing the order of events didn't make it any more complex. And Van Damme's emotional talk about his life towards the end seemed like it was thrown in at random.

Still, I did enjoy it because, as a kid, I loved Van Damme. What guy hasn't seen and loved one of his flicks as a brat? He can't act very well but he can sure as hell do some fancy kicks.

7/10

Vexhille - Another decent film. It could've been so much better - the concept was excellent - but it failed to a certain extent because it rushed, having little to no time for things such as character development (the main character, Vexhille, wasn't even important!) or fleshing out the world more. The ending was rather silly, too, because of how rushed it was.

At least the film looked nice. If not for the lack of emotion shown on the characters faces, I'd give it 10/10 for looks. A nice flick for graphic whores to watch.

7/10

I loved Mad Detective. The end especially - my first thoughts were "How's he going to get out of this?" but then as you watch Ho begin to change the guns around and start to think about the serial numbers, it fades to black and you realise even he himself doesn't know how to get out of it. A lot of people hate cliffhanger endings which really leave you guessing (and you know there won't be a sequel) but they're some of my favourites.

I know what you mean. I also watched the end a few times to check the shards of mirror on the floor, if you know what I mean.
The ending is hinted when the boy appears though.

Tales of The Black Freighter - 7/10

Really enjoyed this. Was perhaps too short, but it's a short story in Watchmen too. Gerard Butler done a great job voicing the main character :]

The Quantum of Solace - 8/10

i thought the latest bond film was very good, the action scenes were very exciting and the plot was fairly easy to follow, all in all, it was great (especially as i watched the Blu-Ray! High Def!)

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, 10/10.

Neil Patrick Harris is hilarious, I so need to watch more How I Met Your Mother and I'd be darned if Nathan Fillion can't play a good Captain. Obviously, Felicia Day is splendid and the songs are fantastic. Just a lovely watch.

I was dragged along to see this. It was certainly full of action, but exciting scenes were cut a little too rapidly. Though my memory was vague, I can remember several plot elements being introduced a little abruptly. I had fun looking out for product placements though.

The Counterfeiters - 8/10

Amazing and epic film. It was based on a true story and was shown greatly. It was the first German film that I have seen and it was excellent. The camera work was also brilliant, the way which they performed it.

A Very Long Engagement - 8/10

Beautiful film. It was a little slow and dull in parts but the female lead had an odd charm that made me enjoy watching her, and the story was very well put together.

I've ordered Amelie since it had the same director and lead actress.

The The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford - 8.5/10

It was as good as I expected it to be given it has a lot of big names connected to it. The story moved very slowly, not a lot seeming to occur during the film (and some of the plot elements confused me, despite the pacing), but that didn't stop the story being a hard-hitting tale of trust and betrayal.

I didn't quite get the death of Jesse James. Depressed or not, I find it hard to believe a guy would allow himself to be killed in his own home, leaving his family to survive without him. I find it far more belivable that the real Jesse James trusted Ford too much, dropped his guard and was killed as a result.

I felt a little sorry for Robert Ford at the end. From the start he was just a guy who wanted to be somebody, despite him being anything other than average. And, even though he didn't kill Jesse James in manly fashion, it wasn't as if the guy he killed had never killed people when not looking into their eyes before. He wanted fame and, for killing a criminal, he was only able to become hated.

Madagascar Escape 2 Africa - 7/10

Enjoyable movie. I found it just as fun as the first film, also I liked how it showed you Alex's past and how he ended up at the zoo.

Pretty in Pink - 5.5/10

I like a good romance, but this really wasn't as good as i heard it was. Another let down like Dirty Dancing.

Monsters vs. Aliens, 5/10.

Saw it at the IMAX on Wednesday. It was just general Dreamworks fare. Rainn Wilson didn't have much to work with as the evil guy, and I really can't be that positive about my first trip to an IMAX (apart from The Simpsons Ride etc) because the 3D just got annoying towards the end which made me light headed for the rest of the day. Seth Rogen was underused, the same as Rainn - Stephen Colbert probably got the best lines.

I really don't like Dreamworks referential humor.

"Oh Wow, Close Encounters! ... Oh Wow, Haha, Godzilla!"

"Oldboy" 10/10.

I have not enjoyed a movie, as much as I enjoyed this one, in a long time. This was amazing! The fight scenes were epic, and the actual plot was brilliant! Some parts are quite gross, such as the entire twist in the story, but it was brilliant! It was also really humourous in a lot of scenes, which was good.

Most awesome film!

"ONG-BAK" 10/10

Saw it a few years ago and had forgotten how epic the fights were. Great action film even if the story line is a little week. "What? Somebody stole the head of our village statue which has is a bad omen and caused a drought causing ourfarm land to suffer?! Hmm... Ass kicking time!"

Have you watched this yet, Aion? Amelie is a brilliant film. One I really need to see again actually, it's been too long.

The Wrestler 9/10.

Really, really enjoyed this and I thought Mickey Rourke was absolutely perfect for the main role. Deffo a DVD purchase when it comes out.
