By far the WORST anime i have ever seen in my entire life! Never have i ever watched something SO BORING, so LIFELESS in my whole life!
There were SO many things unanswerd! Like did the girl get revenge? who was the blond haired girl? The plot was about a Samurai who wants to kill 1000 evil to redeem himself for killing 100 men. Plus he Befreinds a girl who hires him to be a bodyguard while she seeks revenge for her families killer. With a premise that cool, How do you manage to make it such a f*****g boring anime? The characters were dull and had no personality. I'd rather watch paint dry! There were hardly any fight scenes eaither. For a samurai anime, it sure was tedious compaired to the likes of Samurai Champloo, Samurai x, Afro Samurai etc. £35 wasted on **** piece of ****!!!! Who ever plans to buy this, I WILL find you!
 
Ikoku Meiro no Croisée -

Much like Usagi Drop, the plot is very slow to a point were people might be put off but thanks to it's 19th century France setting, it works like a charm.

Are Japanese tourist Yune is a 'Moe' character done right, she is determined to help are male lead Claude with the Ironwork shop while having enough character depth to make you care for her, a very likeable character along with the Claudel family.

It also does well to mix Japanese and French culture and to discuss there differences, I would of liked more discussion on popular France architecture but it does a good job.

A few gripes are mainly to do with young rich Alice and her whiny annoyance at the start but starts to become more bearable as the series progress and the lack of development to some characters such as Oscar.

Apart from that Ikoku Meiro no Croisée is one of the hidden gems of the year along with Level E and has been a joy to watch.

Again I must wonder that I prefer more mature shows that show the wonders of foreign countries, while Ristorante Paradiso for Italy and Ikoku Meiro no Croisée for France have done this successfully, I just wonder if the K-ON movie and the characters immaturity (a bit harsh in saying that) in England may ruin the experience when I end up watching it.

its a classy classic anime.
big o is underrated and should of got more attention there are only 2 things wrong with this anime
1, the ending doesn't make any sense
2, they didn't make a 3rd season.

but besides that i love everything about this anime

the musics epic
i love the characters * its kinda like batman*
i like the mechs
it has class
the fights are awesome * big duo vs big o favourite*
this anime is a classic

For me this anime was OK. Good, but not great. I certainly liked the characters and plot, but there are problems with it. Namely the fact that the series doesn't cover the entire manga. It only goes up to a certain number of volumes. Therefore it ends at a mid-point and you have to read the manga in order to find out how it truly ends.

Chaung Yi release it in English in Singapore I believe. Also, apparently Viz released it in the day.

the sacred blacksmith - i like this anime, i love the colours, i like the characters, and theres a little bit of fan service to boot. the storys isn't great but its not bad. fantastic effects and i love the art. it was a sort story but it was a good anime.

when i watch the credits finish i was like........................ thats it...........no more episodes.. :evil: i was pissed. it was a great show.
 
Howl's Moving Castle

First Studio Ghibli film I've seen to be given a "U" rating (i.e. no blood or raccoon dogs with giant man crushing testicles). Very nice and for most of the time gentle film, although it does has some moments of excitement as well. At times it does feel almost Disneyish, but maybe that is due to the fact it is an adaptation of a western novel (to be precise a Welsh novel). However, there are also elements of steampunk in it which I enjoyed as well. Plus it is nice to see a film in which the main role is an older woman (albeit a girl who has been turned into one).

Appleseed OVA

For what is described as a dystopia there is not much of a dystopian feel to this. The place on the whole looks rather nice - although admittedly there is a lack of free will. Not great in my view, but maybe the more modern films are better. On the plus side, you do get a cheap laugh from the fact there's a man called Karen.

No. 6 - 7/10

Gah, this could have been so much better. The show went *no-where* from about eps 3-7, was spectacular in eps 9 and 10, and then managed to pull a thoroughly representative uneven final episode out of its hat.

What I loved was the world set-up, Nezumi, Sion's Mom, Dog Keeper, and the central conspiracy around which the plot revolved. But they didn't expand on that well enough, they rushed to close off some plot strands in the last ep, tried to sell me on Sion/Safu as a really key relationship after making the whole rest of the show about Nezumi/Sion, and had an even more controversial back-from-the-dead ending than T&B.

The moments towards the end of ep 11 though, Sion's Mom clutching the notes and then running to find him, Nezumi and Sion's parting, and the epic ending song kicking in once again brought the show back up to the level it should have been at far more often.
