Nekomonogatari Kuro-9/10

I don't think I liked it quite as much as Bake and Nise but I still really loved this. Visually interesting and well written as always. Can't wait to move on to Monogatari Season 2.

Season 2 is fantastic - I'd say Kabuki and Otori are probably my favourite two arcs of the whole franchise.

One Piece Season Six Voyage Four 7.5/10

Felt the whole Thriller Bark arc ended way too abruptly, one minute the crew where seemingly done for, and then the next thing you know it was all over & they had won. Don't know if that abruptness was introduced by the anime or if it's there in the original manga storyline, but either way it doesn't work so well. Well at least we've now added the awesome Brook to the crew.

A Certain Magical Index Season 1

A decent series. Some arcs were better than the others (Deep Blood and Angel falls being the weakest, Sisters and Three stories being my favourite) but generally it was all enjoyable. Good world building, diverse cast of characters, I look forward to seeing more.

Trigun-8/10

I thought this series was pretty good. I thought the second half was leagues above the first in terms of both plot and character. If they made the first half of the show with the same, more serious tone of the first half and started the stuff about Knives and the Gung Ho Guns earlier then this could have easily been a 9 or 10. Still enjoyed it none the less.

Kobato

I swear kobato is probably the most nicest anime charecter I have ever seen I anime ever ever.... I just love her

She worries about others even bastards.
She worries about the little things
She's naive which is adorable
She is cute

Omg I just love her.

The series is about a girl called kobato who has to heal people's hearts in order to get her with and to be honest that really the series but it changes its plot from that to something else later.

It's another clamp series which has some characters that you will recognise from other series like holic and such ..... I wish I knew about about this series...the clamp series I mean cause the story's are fascinating.

I love the animation
I like how it's a nice series

Ninja Scroll (The TV Series) - 5.5 / 10

Man, this was bad. I didn't exactly have high hopes for it, be really, it couldn't be further from the original Ninja Scroll. The animation is dog ugly and the character designs are even worse. I suppose there's something to appreciate in the bog standard baddie of the week shenanigans, but it's nothing that a show like Basilisk doesn't do a million times better. Felt like a real slog to get through.

Tekkonkinkreet - 8 / 10

Had put off watching this for ages as I wasn't keen on the art style from a little snatch I caught of it on Film 4 a while ago, but I was actually really pleasantly surprised by it. Taking it as just a straight up coming-of-age/urban crime thriller, it plays with some really nice concepts - though I feel it works far better when it deals with the serious stuff, and imo the final third goes completely off the rails. Other shows do the whole 'trippy journey into the mind' stuff much better. And despite the art style, some of the actual animation sequences (like the camera swooping through the streets) look really striking and impressive.

True tears

Man I hate romance anime...but this one was ok

this one has a bit of a twist ..If you think that you know who the guy is going to pick then your wrong.

The childhood friend's love confection was kinda pointless but the other two's rivalry was ok but to be honest I was actually hoping the other girl got the guy...which she did but after seeing the other girl didn't get him made me feel so damn sad for her.

She was weird but nice
She loved a chicken and was empathic

I hate romance anime...but I'm not going to give it a bad score because I hate romance

It was good 7/10

Blue Gender – 8/10

Blue Gender: The Warrior – 5/10

I’ve always been a big fan of Blue Gender, I think on the whole it is a very well written series with some really good characters and I enjoyed the serious, ‘mature’ tone of the show as well. Yes, the animation is quite basic but there are some nice designs in Blue Gender and the series strengths far outweigh this. What stops me giving it anything higher than an 8 are the final 2 episodes, if Blue Gender had stopped at episode 24 it would have been the perfect way to end the series but episodes 25 & 26 feel tacked on to fill 26 episodes and the content of these episodes is quite weak with a load of spiritual nonsense that detracts from the strong narrative up until that point. Despite this still get a lot of enjoyment from watching Blue Gender and it is a series I’ve seen 4 times now and one that I will continue to give repeat viewings in the future.

The same can’t be said of ‘The Warrior’. It suffers the usual problems of heavily editing 570 minutes of TV story into a 90 minutes continuous narrative; things happen without any explanation, characters come and go without any relevance etc. etc.. I quite enjoyed watching as it picked up on most of the key events of the TV series (it ignored the last third completely) but I’ve seen it now and don’t feel in any hurry to watch it again.

Holy knight

This OVA had something going for it but sadly it didn't go anywhere ...it was like vampire knights but not as good.

There was some serious parts mixed with goofy moments which I think stopped it from being good.

But at least I saw some tits lol.

What the hell was the point if they was going to stop the series.

7/10...for the tittys

Mass effect

I haven't played the game to this movie and I think you'd have to be a fan to understand what the hell is going on but it did leave some really good moments near the end of the series....but even that was rushed.

It was good for some parts and some was just ok.

When was ME3 released on PS4 & XBONE? AFAIK the trilogy is only available on PC, Xbox 360 & PS3 with the 3rd on Wii U too.

Ga Rei Zero 8.5/10

I really enjoyed this show. I went in almost completely blind after I saw the Blu Ray on eBay for £10 and thought I might as well give it a go for so cheap. It easily exceeded my expectations. While the story isn't that great the characters of Kagura and Yomi are great and the realationship between the two is what really makes this show shine. What really would have pushed this show over the edge for me is if they developed the supporting cast a little more and had a slightly more interesting story. The main villain I also thought was a little lacking, he kind of just shows up at random intervals and nothing about him is really explained. Hell, I'm pretty sure they don't even name him. The action in the show is great and well animated and I really loved the creativity with some of the weapons seen in throughout. While the anime ending is really great I really want a sequel series but seeing how the show is 7 years old, (Jesus Christ, 2008 was 7 years ago) I don't see that happening any time soon. Might give the Manga a read seeing as the anime was made as a prequel to the manga.

You're right. It wasn't. Tiredness can do make you say silly things (I have the third one's CE here on 360..on my shelf..on display)

Thanks for the correction.

Red data girl

Il be honest I really don't understand what this series was all about and I got bored watching it.

The main girl was a bit annoying.

The plot was average
The characters was average..maybe the main guy was ok

Nothing stuck out for me.

Anohana

Talk about a disappointment...... I don't mean it was crap or anything but I was looking forward to a good cry because I heard this series was sad... I mean yeah it was a little sad but it didn't make me cry and a cry I was looking for.

The animation looked nice

The characters.....are the most human of charecters I have ever seen in a a anime which is great, no sexed up looking girls or fan servies, they look like the stereotypes we all know but they don't act the parts of those stereotypes.....just great.

The story.... pretty basic but it's an original story not based on anything...which is great.

It's decent....

Since Monogatari Second Season is made of several clearly defined arcs, I feel like I should rate each one on their own

Nekomonogatari: Shiro-8.5/10

Man am I conflicted on this one. I'll say this is probably my least favourite Monogatari arc. Not to say I didn't like it, it's still really good, but in comparison to the others, it felt a little lacking. First of all, I'll get some personal bias out of the way. I don't really find Hanekawa that interesting. Sure she isn't completely boring and she is well developed but out of the 5 or 6 main girls in Monogatari I think she is the second least interesting, next to Sengoku. So, as you can probably guess, an arc where she is the central character wasn't boding well for me anyway. On top of that, this is the third Hanekawa focused arc and the second consecutively so I'm kind of burnt out on that character, which I don't find interesting to being with. I also felt this arc was really hurt by the lack of Araragi. He was a really relatable protagonist and, in my opinion, really grounded the show as well as bringing a lot of the humour to the show, which this arc also lacked, which was another thing I was disappointed by. I also thought the first two episodes of the 5 episode arc were too slow, even by Monogatari standards. I think this arc really would have benefited being 4 episodes rather than 5. All that aside, the art and animation is as good as it's ever been, if not better, the writing is still as good as previous arcs and the other three episodes gave some good development to Hanekawa, the last episode in particular being incredible and made me like Hanekawa a whole lot more. As I said, this was still really good and really enjoyable but just not as much as previous arcs.
