I watched this a while back aswell, it greatly benefits from actually having a high % of tank battles. As opposed to tanks being the excuse to have another Anime where girls lark around not doing much.

I reckon 8-8.5/10

It soothes the soul seeing a anime like this if your depressed or sad or seeing a anime that made you sad or depressed for some reason

Great Teacher Onizuka 9/10

I have rewatched this for the past week and it was great as the first time, despite being very old already, nothing can be Onizuka and his way of doing things. To all of you who still have to watch this, just do it asap cause you are missing a ver good anime.

I'm trying to get into Black Lagoon yet again. I really don't think I can do it though. I might have to bump Samurai Champloo or Trinity Blood up and get those watched before I try it.

Durarara!!! is going to get top spot once it's released.

I kinda dropped the show after 2 episodes when it was airing, but you're saying it actually has tank battles?

I need to give this another go.

Pokemon 4ever[/b
6/10
Just above average. But then again, Pokemon movies are usually pretty naff.

This is the first Pokemon movie I've seen since the second one. I really didn't like the first two, but this one was slightly better. The animation was very good and looked nice. Colours were bright and vibrant and CGI wasn't too bad eaither. The Pokemon battles were pretty darn fun actually, although there weren't many of them. And i will admit, this made me feel really nostalgic!

Although this movie did have bad flaws. One of them was the plot. There wasnt much of one. It was just Sam, Ash and Celebi (or whatever it's name was) just flying around and acting all friendly. Second, the characters are pretty one dimensional. Ash is dull, Brock and Misty are pointless and Sam has no personality whatsoever. The villain was pretty naff aswell! He want's to take over the world.....How original. Also it was really predictable at times! You knewCelibi was going to come back to life. it would have been more interesting if he didn't. would of added a nice dark tone to it, but it is pokemon

And I'm sorry, but the whole twist at the end about Sam being Professor Oak was INCREDIBLY lame! It was soooo stupid and cheesy!

Overall, Pokemon 4ever is an ok movie. Watch only if big Pokemon fan

Black Blood Brothers Disk 1
So much better than Blacksmith. Ok, that's not hard but yeah, I appreciate the approach taken here and, yeah, following though on Chan's turning and subsequent death takes a surprising amount of balls these days.

Aye.

Dusk maiden

It has another ( the anime) feel to it in terms of atmosphere which is spooky but has humour to it.

It's about a girl who is a ghost and is the president of a club and they solve mysteries about the supernatural. It's also a mystery anime.

It can be funny and a bit intense sometimes.

Steins Gate - 8/10

Very good show.

First episode and the beginning of the 2nd one had me really confused but it does start making sense after that, although the first part (1-12) is quite slow. From about ep 4 it has a repetitive theme of an interesting ending to not much happening through the rest of the episode, not that it's boring, it's just not too exciting, although the characters are good enough to keep you watching but Ep 12 is where it hits it's stride and it doesn't look back, absolutely fascinating concept, I was pretty gripped to it by that point and really wanted to watch the next episode. It certainly took the interesting ending to a 'I need to see what happens next'.

It also has very entertaining characters as I previously mentioned that mix as well as an odd bunch should but it was Okabe with his 'I am a mad scientist' routine that kept me watching, especially in the early stages but the warmth of his character and his determination to succeed in the later episodes really draw you into his character. Also there is something about time travel that I think most people find fascinating.

Only thing is I can't help but feel that I won't watch it again. I got a 'once you've seen it, you've seen it' vibe. Whether that changes time will tell.

One thing that does truly baffle me though is that this is the top rated anime on ANN, it's a good show but I didn't think it was up to that level. Each to their own I guess but still worthy of being highly rated.

Finished This A Few Days Ago Code Geass

9.5/10

Very good series, amazing story, soundtrack, characters and animation. I would give it a 10 but IMO the ending of season 2 wasn't the best. But HIGHLY recommend this show if you like a clever plot, mecha or have seen Deathnote as IMO Lelouch is very similar to Light.

Steins;Gate

9/10

This show just covers absolutely every base with me: fantastic, gripping storyline, positively hilarious, but still really dramatic and emotional too. It's easily my favouirte time travel related story. I went in hoping that the dub would be able to live up to the Japanese...but it never stood a chance. Mamorou Miyano just absolutely owns this show/role. He goes from being so brilliantly over the top in the comedy stuff to absolutely dark and depressing when things get serious, one my favourite VA performances ever.

Totally agreed on the character strength. There's not a character in this (large or small) that I don't absolutely love. Everyone has a role to play and fits perfectly to the story. I personally disagree with the re-watchability of it. This was a re-watch for me and I could easily go and start all over again, I just think it's utterly compelling viewing. Also, has one of the better extra episode OVAs for a series. Bring on the film release here already I say! And I don't think it's "the best" anime, but certainly for me one of the best of the last few years and in my own top 10.

Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan
7/10
Wow. I actually enjoyed the movie this time.

First of all, i watched this on bluray, and it looks MARVELOUS! especially for something that is more than 20 years old. This has pretty much hat you would expect from a DBZ movie: Some sort of a plot, new bad guy is reviled, Z-fighters fight new bad guy, z-fighters lose, Goku defeats bad guy and so on. The animation is this was pretty good, but it wasnt great when compared to the previous movies. The fights were probably the biggest highlight for me. LOADS of explosions, energy blasts, punches etc. My biggest problem with this movie is the American soundtrack. Is a metal/rock soundtrack really necessary? It makes it so lame! I prefer the Original japanese soundtrack much much more, so i'm going to watch the second Broly movie subbed. Also the plot is pretty darn weak aswell. But then again it is a DBZ movie.

And i do not CARE what others think, Broly is NOT the best DBZ villain! Everyone goes ballistic for this guy! Fair enough he is really strong and is crazy, but is he seriously better than Frieza? Frieza was a much more evil and intimidating enemy!

Overall, a decent DBZ movie. Not the best, but far from the worst. I used to think it was the worst at one point lol.

Steins Gate 9/10

One of the best shows I have seen in a while with a strong & interesting storyline. Felt the dub was very well acted on it as well. Interesting that though it is very much a scifi show with its strong time travel content it's also a pretty well done romance & a good comedy, managing to hit the target on so many elements is no easy thing.

Only knocked a mark off it as I felt it sagged a bit in the middle & I am not sure it is show with much re-watch potential.

Interesting to see people saying Steins;Gate doesn't have much re-watch potential. I've watched it through once and definitely feel that I could do so again as the OkabexKurisu relationship was so well done. The only negative that I had when watching the series was that I didn't really care for Mayuri, so some aspects of the series that related to her i.e. the repeated deaths at the end of episodes didn't really impact on me.

MM!

Score: 8/10

What I liked: Funny, great animation, good character's, loved the dialogue and the reference to a certain other anime.

What I disliked: Could have done with more fan service, it's one super weird anime lol and the like serious moments it has (didn't work well for me).
