I thought he was awesome. It was Seishin who I thought should have died. But I was totally on the townsfolks side. No mercy for monsters.

to me the humans was the monsters for alot of reasons and i like seishin fortrying to understand the shiki and saw them as equals

my reasons why i hate the doctor and the humans-

1 the doctor didn't even hesitant when he was experimenting on his wife when she turned and she was crying and begging him to stop

2 the humans killed the people at the temple who was innocent and killed people who was in the pipes and the ones who was being controlled by the shiki

3 the humans was laughing while the shiki was baking in the sun * those hikes forgot that they was there neighbours

4 the bearded old guy * look at the manga where he nearly kills the little girl shiki* they made him give that speech to sympathise with him, but really he was more monster then the shiki, but it was hilarious when he died in the manga. not even showing remorse for killing hes son and he was a bastard to he son while he was a live.

5 they killed megumi in a horrible way, which pissed me off i liked her.

sorry but i was on the shikis side the whole time after what those evil humans did,

the shiki only drinks blood in order to live and if they dont theyll die they didn't kill out of hate or malice but to live and to have a place to call home,
can we not start a debate please the last few people who i had the talk about shiki lasted hours,

there are fans who was on the shikis side and on the humans side but after what the humans did id rather feel safe around the shiki

Well the way I saw it:

The shiki started a war, which they then lost. They were murderers who blackmailed victims into becoming murderers themselves. It was perfectly possible for shiki to live on blood without killing anyone as that woman who ran the noodle place whose mum came back showed. They also killed for selfish reasons. I'm supposed to feel bad for Nao when she murdered her son, husband and parents just on the off chance they'd come back to? She deserved what she got. The nurse proved it was totally possible to resist drinking blood, they were parasites who killed sapient creatures to live so the analogy with humans eating animals falls down. Yeah maybe some of the townsfolk went too far but when you saw how traumatised people like Kaori became (reduced to digging her own grave and begging for a posthuomous name after losing evryone but her brother) or the woman who stayed in the bath until her dead son "melted" you could understand why there would be bad reactions.

Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage - 10/10 (Highly Recommended, though you should watch Season 1 [9/10] first as it does reference back to it)

The Vampire Twins Comen Arc was a sudden and engaging start to the second season, making the show darker and more disturbing than it looks.
The Greenback Jane Arc was a fun action packed part where it's all fun and bullets, and chainsaws.
The Fujiyama Gangsta Paradise Arc concludes the show halfway with lots of plot-twists and shows how you shouldn't mess around with Balalaika.

The music continues from the first season, but I love the soundtrack and especially the nice tune from the end of the first arc. The final song fits well with the show.
The animation is the same as the first since it was done back to back (the second season aired about four months after the first, like the Matrix sequels did to each other with six months) but it's still got quality over quantity.
I watched the series with the English dub and I do recommend it. Brad Swaile (voice of Rock, known for Light [Death Note]), Marÿke Hendrikse (voice of Revy, known for Tabby [.hack//Roots]) and Patricia Drake (voice of Balalaika, known for Trunks [Dragon Ball Z]) all do an excellent job getting the character right for the show, in fact everyone in the show does.

The only minor problem that some would suggest was the open ending and Revy's behaviour but it's no big deal.

No body won everyone lost

Like I said can we plaese not debate about this
Your right it is possible for shiki to non drink blood directly but you forget about human nature, what people don't understand they hate and fear and people who do find out about the shiki would most likely hunt and kill them even if the shiki tried too live along side humans, he'll there was a few humans that accepted the shiki for who they was, fear

Sorry but in my eyes the humans are the villains the shiki are sympathetic cursed beings that wanted to live and be free

Well I guess we have to agree to disagree.:)
I just happen to be on the side of the people who didn't want to live alongside serial killers who might give into their urges any moment and who'll then mind rape you for several days then kill you. And that's not even getting into the humans captured from the city purely as food not even given the dubious pleasure of being able to live again as a monster.

Good show though for provoking an interesting debate.

ok then then how dont answer the question what the humans did at the temple and killed the other humans that was ON THERE SIDE,

its no different to what humans do to each other out of -

religious belief
hate
jealously

we do this to our selfs as humans each and every day,

*THIS IS WHY I SIDE WITH LIGHT FROM DEATH NOTE*

oh and what about that crazy ass doctor that showed no remorse or hesitation over experimenting on his wife while she was begging him to stop, when she didn't even do anything yet, hell he didn't show remorse when hes mother died, the shiki was the same as they was alive the same personalities

answer me this this,

if someone you loved got turned in to a shiki and was being experimented on by that doctor and was begging you to save them what would you do?

id save mine and kill that asshole doctor,

the shiki had to do what they did otherwise they'd be hunted down even if they tried to live along side humans,

yes there was a few shiki that didn't want to drink directly from humans but that nurse decided that because of what she believed in * saving lives * that was her decision, but the other shiki * like all things wanted to live,* its no different when we slaughter animals for there meat, cause we need the meat for nutrition and live, otherwise our health would deteriorate,

the monk took steps on trying to reach a understanding with the shiki * in my opinion is better then killing * the shiki dont drink blood out of malice or hatred, they drink blood in order to live,

the only 3 people who killed the family who was shiki was the doctor who killed his wife and that bearded bastard who killed his son, an the sister- in-law who killed her brother-in-law, others didn't even know or see if there loved ones turned in to shiki

there was that old lady that came back to her house and her daughter tried to take care of her, but killed her in order to save her own skin from the humans who was going to kill humans that that they thought was with the shiki,

on that subject there was a few humans who was willingly on the shikis side

the monk
that guy with the big gun.

because they accepted them as there was,

the doctor and the rest of the villagers was the villains of the series the way i see it,

noone won that war the village burned down and a few villagers lived and the 2 shiki got away,

in my eyes the series shows us how humans can be more monster then the monsters them selfs, you going to ignore what they did at the temple and in the pipes,

the doctor was suppose to save lives but instead he started killing, he didn't even show remorse what happened to the humans who had nothing to do with the shiki,

sorry but the humans are the monsters of the series,

humans are ass*****

Ah so you side with Light, whereas I think he's a sick-in-the-head, egotistical, pathetic, mass murdering monster who I despised with every fibre of my being. I think neither of us will agree then. ;) (I am a humanist as well).

EDIT: (Massive wall of text snipped) Actually no, this argument about Shiki will just go round in circles so I will stop it here.

thank you, no hard feeling right?

anyways

and yet the town moves

this series kind of reminds me of ramin fighter miki, about a slice of life and comedy, but not as cartoonish as ramin fighter miki, at times it was boring but at different times i enjoyed the characters, i also had characters talk about nothing at times which i like * lucky star * it was boring and fun if that makes sense,

No, no worries, I like arguing about this stuff especially when the show does make you think and take sides, but sometimes you have to know when neither side is gonna convince the other and move on :)

thats the thing with shows like these you choose either side, its like those animes where the main dude doesn't choose your favourite girl and chooses someone else, which pisses me off,

i hate the arguments,

it like the naruto/bleach/one piece fandoms, my series, characters are better then yours.

i like all 3 my self

anyways the point is

death note
shiki
scryed
rumbling hearts
ect ect

has there supporters and hater for a side or morals or characters,

That's true. I mean its nice when people get emotionally invested in characters and relationships, I myself so love Puella Magi Madoka Magica I am writing a couple of Kyoko/Sayaka fics (they're very chaste, they mostly seem to be playing Xbox 360 games together so far - write what you know lol). But I would never presume to tell people who ship Mami/Kyoko etc that they are wrong. Sadly some folk do seem to get over invested, maybe it's my age (40 next year, yikes!) but I live by the "agree to disagree" mantra if someone doesn't want to argue further that's cool by me.

yeah but yeah its good that you want to get your point across but after awhile trying to talk about what you've been talking about other people it gets tiring talking about it all over again

naruto shippuden movie 3 will of fire

same formula as the other movies

big bad is after treasure or power and has cronnies doing his dirty work, altho i do like bonds,

i guess its not bad but its nothing to brag about either,

Redline - 9/10 (Highly recommended to watch in 1080p, the quality is amazing)

This is one of the most exciting films I've watched in a while. Redline has a simple plot line by merging Star Wars Pod Racing, Wacky Races, Akira and fun altogether.
The sound is techno electronic which works really well and is rather catchy.
The dub works well with this film, though I hear the Japanese dub is more R-17 in contrast.
The quality is fantastic in HD.

Minor complaint is the slow build up between the first 10 minutes to the 50 minute mark, but since this is a 1 hour 40 minute film there's plenty of stuff to show off.

Redline: 2006 Plot Trailer - 6/10

It's fine, adds something new to watch but it's a trailer nothing else.

Dragonball season 1 7/10

Well, the first season is full of mostly good at worst average stuff. To be honest, as someone who came to the show through DBZ the first arc the "Pilaf Saga" I find something of a chore. yeah it is breezy and fun in places and it's cool seeing how Goku met up with Yamcha, Bulma, Oolong, Muten Roshi and Chi Chi, but it's so unrelentingly whacky, and has so little fighting that it's a relief when we hit the "Tournament Saga" and meet Krillin which is when the show really kicks in for me.

It's surprising how vulgar and bawdy the show - which at this point in time is ostensibly for younger kids - is at this point. It features waaaay more fanservice than DBZ ever did, more in it's first 15 or so episodes than DBZ did through it's full run. Why it's even panties that save the world in the Pilaf saga! It does look lovely though. I love hand drawn cel animation, and the colours are so bright and joyful. Plus the image has not been cropped like DBZ's dvd releases. Downside is these dvds unlike the US DBZ/GT sets are region 1 only.

EDIT: Fairy Tail collection 1 8/10

After several recommendations and needing a new shonen fighting action show in my life I took a chance on Fairy Tail and it paid off. Nice, strong animation. Pacey storylines and a collection of excellent characters. Good to see some powerful female ones, and have just as much fanservice for the ladies (and gay men!) with all the shirtless males balancing out the booby ladies. Despite being probably aimed at the same age group as Dragonball I'd prefer to show this to a child than DB with all it's panties and female molestation. It's nice when a show comes along that is suitable for kids but has plenty for us grown-ups to enjoy to. The rest of season 1 is now on order, Fairy Tail has me hooked.

Hellsing Ultimate Parts 1-8

Finally got round to watching the blu-rays of this. After a good start I found myself getting a bit put off by the ludicrousness of the fights ins 3 and 4, but 6-8 really blew me away in terms of the story and it dug its claws in deep.

Im gutted parts 9 and 10 have yet to be dubbed (or even licensed??) so I may have to resort to other methods as that cliffhanger ending in episode 8.....damn

Parts 1-5 : 6/10
Parts 6-8 : 9/10

nightwalker

i love the old fashion anime, simple animation, simple story, simple situations,

i like the music for the opening, it feels soo 90s and suits the series for it being a dark vampire series,

it has a monster of the week thing, beat a monster and it ends but it has a major story with the main character that doesn't go any farther, so my guess is that you'd have to read the manga.

this is the first time watching this series but something about it makes it feel nostalgic, probably the animation has something to do with it.

Another

Released: 2012
Retail Release: August 2013 (Sentai Filmworks) & November 2013 (MVM Entertainment)
Suitable rating: 18 - Strong Bloody Violence and Moderate Fear
Version watched: Japanese (with English Subtitles)

Plot:
26 years ago, in a third-year classroom of a middle school, there was a student named Misaki. As an honors student who was also good at sports, she was popular with her classmates. When she suddenly died, her classmates decided to carry on as if she was still alive until graduation. Then, in the spring of 1998, a boy named Sakakibara Kouichi transfers to the class, and he grows suspicious of the fearful atmosphere in that classroom. In particular, there is a beautiful, aloof girl named Mei Misaki who wears an eyepatch and is always alone drawing pictures.

My Thoughts:
First of, I have to say that I have never rammed through a show like this for quite a while. I have marathoned shows before but never did I decide to finish it in under a day. I enjoyed the characters and the concept that involved deaths one by one, it was a different sort of style that I have never watched before. I've watched a lot of shows but the closest to having gory deaths was High School of the Dead. Speaking of deaths, they were designed very well in this anime. If you wanted a better version of the live action supernatural horror Final Destination, Another will please you. The gore does add quite an effect with the scenes which is why I wouldn't recommend it to minors.

The plot was mostly predictable like any horror would have, but Another does add its own sort of unpredictable moments like who would die next and who is responsible for the cause. The ending was decent enough though it was rather annoying at the same time. The characters themselves were also slightly off, the whole concept of Koichi's health was really unnecessary since it wasn't focused much than it should. I did however enjoy the character development for the librarian Tatsuji who I felt did a very good job with being suspicious and calm over the events. I also liked Izumi, Naoya and Yuuya who played a good role in the show, though I know there are certain people who dislike Izumi's character (e.g. YT reviewer GRArkada).

The sound was pretty good throughout the show, adds tensing moments to certain scenes making you wonder what's going to happen now. The OP was rather mixed but after listening to it clearly it slowly became enjoyable though it could have been more catchy. The ED was nice and calm. Since it watched this in Japanese I can't comment on the English dub but I did like the Japanese voices.

Spoiler Thoughts:
As mentioned earlier, this deus ex effect with Mei was rather out of the nowhere. How can a doll eye show who is dead? By having that it just ruins the show, she already knew who was responsible so why didn't she just kill off the dead person? I know she didn't want to hurt Kouichi but to be quite frank, she made it worse since the curse killed more people that Kouichi felt happy with than ever. Also, that whole connection with Kouichi and Izumi was rather misplaced though it was a nice addition to the background plot.

The first two episodes were pretty slow to start off, since it was all about setting off the scene and making sure that the audience can get into the mood. The real action doesn't begin until the end of the third episode.. speaking of the third episode that umbrella penetration was rather random, I had a WTF reaction to that scene especially since I liked Yukari, was slightly depressed over that as well. The next few episodes quickly got to the point, certain plot elements were made clear and more deaths occured (Heart attack, Elevator drop, Suicide) and honestly that dance was rather random I think it was made just to show how much attention they don't get since they are 'non-existent'. The real deal started with the Beach episode, no not because of the fanservice but because **** gets real from that point onwards. More plot elements and more deaths start to occur. The best part was the flashback of the shrine, honestly that girl just rolled to her death like she wanted to die, logic there. The final few episodes get to a showdown 'Battle Royale' style, a lot of deaths occured there; Falling to their own death, Crushed by chandelier, Accidental Suicide by wires, Stabbing, Blown by fire and the most random of all is when someone survives the chandelier and then gets crushed again by a pillar.

To be honest, I am upset that some of the characters got killed off from the curse since I got attached to them quite well ('Four eyes' Yukari, 'Nurse chick' Sanae, 'Theater Club girl' Ayano & 'Tsundere Red-Haired Ponytail Hot Bitch Chick' Izumi) but I was intrigued with some of the others (Death by Boat? Ouch, Death by Lightning? Shocking experience, Death by Heart Attack? Oh the irony, Death by Vehicle crashing through the window and crushing the user on his computer? Oh dear god I need to change the positioning of my room). Overall, the plot was a bit loose but the concept was great.

Overall:
Another is a great show to watch, it's amusing and has some moments that will keep you on your knees. But the plot does have its random sudden clues in the final few episodes and the main characters really need some improvement if they need to come clear to why some of their character is important to the situation they're in. On the upside, the music and animation is very good and the conclusion closes out on a good note. Recommended if you want some gore or horror to watch, and also if you like films such as Final Destination and Battle Royale since there's some influence there.
