@bakum4tsu im not saying it was bad, hell it was funny to watch how this wimp turns out to be a son of a bitch from hell in the eyes ofthe public

the garden of words

.............................. beautiful just beautiful, the animation is of that of shinkai who made voice of a distant start and 5 centimetres per second, hell the story is somewhat like these two, its like they got actors to play out the movie and afterwards turned it in to a anime by animating the characters over them,

the story is simple, so simple that it would seem boring if the animation wasn't there, im sure it would be good in live action if it was longer, but like i said * only in animation can you make something boring look beautiful*

its a beautiful masterpiece

its worth a

I know you didnt say it was bad. :p

What a coincidence, just watched Garden of words too. :)

It was great. It was even more fantastic because it took place in Shinjuku, more specifically in Goyen Garden, the very first place I will visit in a few days. :)

Anyway, another great production by Makoto Shinkai. I would say 9.5/10.

Waiting in the summer

First off
The main male Kai is a asshole for ignoring a girl ( kanna) that had feelings for him for ages and then this new girl comes along and they new girl and kai falls in love but before that he is told by a friend that kanna loves him and he completely ignores her feelings. And that pisses me off, main character * asshole*

The animations good but nothing unique
The characters besides the character Kai are good and one or two that I'm sure came from please teacher and twins I'm 100% sure of that
The story is that off please teacher and please twins, sort of, but more lovey

A space alien girl comes from space to earth and ends up being underthe same roof as a boy, we know where this is going.

Il say it's pretty good but iv seen this sor if thing before.

Highlander: The Search For Vegeance (Directors Cut) - 7.5/10

This was sort of a re-watch. 1st time I watched the US cut and didn't really enjoy it. I don't know whether the extra scenes in this made me enjoy it more of whether I was just more in the right frame of mind but I did find it entertaining and didn't feel disappointed this time (being a fan of the 1st Highlander film and all). I did notice one of the scenes I hadn't watched before and thought it was a bad idea to cut it but I couldn't say what others were not in the US cut as it was a long time ago I first viewed this but it certainly added more to the back story. Next time America, don't cut the Directors work.

momo the god girl of death

at first i thought this series was going to be a sad and depressing one, but im glad i was wrong, its a sad uplifting series in ways.

the story isn't about momo the shinigami who takes people to heaven but its about the people who she interacts with at some point that has the storys its good for a short series,

the animators clean
the characters was alright
the storys had *a few* sad moments but not depressing ones but it had its uplifting moments

it was only 6 episodes long but i can understand why,

7.5/10

Momo the God Girl of Death. Now that's a good title. The actual show doesn't sound it delivers the destruction and violence one would expect going off of that title though.

it kinda does but i also thought it was going to be depressing by the sound of it

Freezing 7/10

Quite a tough show to review as it's almost like two shows in one. On the one hand it's a moderately serious action show & on the other hand a somewhat frivolous fan service show. It did have some pretty clunky changes of gear moving on the one hand from a ridculous beauty pagent episode & then flip to something far more serious the very next episode. Overall the writing is a cut above the normal standard for this kind of fan service heavy production and the lead male character for once isn't a drip, idiot, letch or pervert & actually gets stuff to do, though he still plays second fiddle to all the ladies. The last four episodes are by far the best as actual significant action takes place & the ladies stop whaling on each other which up until then had been getting pretty old fast. I am not sure what had happened to the lead female character sat too well with the rest of the storyline especially as they seemed drop it as fast as they raised it, though maybe they will at least cover it in some kind of proper way in the next season.

air tv series OVAs and movie

the ovas goes along with the series but il do the movie separate

first off the opening is like wow, i mean the opening song really does suit the series its beautiful but sad, its caughty,

the moe mixed with the story and music really fits and i felt that i connected with the characters in the series,

and i cried to this and its rare for me to cry to an anime, i think i cried to at least 4 anime including this,

but the ending felt forced and rushed and kinda stupidthe main male character turning in to a bird near end

the animation was really good too

i always said id never watch a sad anime but it was refreshing to watch a series like air.

8/10

air movie

the animations not as good as the series, almost like they did care making as good as the series but it kinda makes makes up for the end the series gave us but at the same time i felt that the ending in the series felt more stronger becauseour main male lead wasn't there anymore to enlighten things, it was almost the same as the series but some of the characters from the series is omly seen once the

i give it a 7/10

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 - 8/10

Good stuff I liked
+ Unpredictable Plot with a lot of plot-twists
+ Music was much better (Opening 1 and 2 were awesome)
+ Lelouch is one clever bastard
+ New areas/locations to the show (China for instance)
+ Explains the gap between R1 and R2 sensibly in the early few episodes
+ Explains a lot of bits and pieces left from R1 (like who killed Lulu's mother)

Mixed stuff I noticed (doesn't have major effect on the overall rating but some points I would want to have covered more on)
+/- The last arc of the story; Zero's Requiem is a mixed bag for me. I like how he took over as the emperor and having Suzaku backing him up with his plans, but the problem that annoyed me was that he turned everyone against him including his own sister. The overall conclusion in which he kills himself did make sense to make the world a better place but surely there could have been alternative ways to make the world better. Nevertheless, I still liked how the direction was going (reminds me of Chronicle & Akira where the main character gets an ability and ends up being the bad guy).
+/- The Geass ability, where and who was the origin point? C.C. did cover her past but I want to know how it ended up in the Lulu world.
+/- The Britannian Empire, would be nice to have more background story behind this. Lulu's father explained bits and bobs about what they did during Lulu's lifetime but who was the main country to start the empire? The British or the Americans?

My guess is that some of the points I've made in the mixed section will be explained with Akito the Exiled.

Princess Jellyfish

7/10

I really liked this show when it first aired, but going back to it I was almost a little disappointed. I still think the show as a whole is cute, charming and funny, but the ending is so much more inconclusive than I remember:

What the hell happens with Shu and that chick on the plane? Where do they even end up? Tsukimi doesn't come close to making a romantic choice between the brothers, she doesn't even suffer a conflict of feelings over the two at any point. And what the hell happened to her trying to be an illustrator, I totally forgot about that until she mentioned it in the narration at the end, we never seen her make any attempt at that career. Does the Jellyfish brand become successful? Are the troubles at Amamizu-kan over just because Chieko's mother says she won't sell? And if she's back in Japan is she taking over again? What about her Korean boyfriend is he coming to stay, to violate the sancuatry of the Sisterhood? Will any of the Sisterhood discover Kuranosuke is a boy? Will he ever meet his mum? Will he ever realise his feelings for Tsukimi?

Find out this and so much more...Never. No sign in sight of another season and I don't think the manga will get licensed either.

I thought the dub was very good, the VAs were well matched to their Japanese counterparts.

Yu Yu Hakusho season 3
10/10
The best season so far! Proof that Yu Yu Hakusho is one of the best and most underrated shonen shows out there!

The season begins with the conclusion of the Dark Tournament saga. It starts off with Hieis fight with Bui, which is one of the best anime fights I've seen in a LONG while! The animation during the fight was marvellous! Considering it was in the 90s, it was VERY impressive! Then we move onto Kuwabaras fight with Elder Toguro, who in a amazing and very intimidating villain! Finally, it's Yusuke vs Toguro. While it isn't the best fight out the Dark Tournament arc, it is still pretty fun. SO that concludes the Dark Tournament arc. it was a fun arc, but it did go on a bit.

The rest of the third season consists of most of the Chapter Black Arc, Which is AMAZING! It has a fantastic plot which will keep you on the edge of your seat, fantastically animated and fun fight scenes and a bunch of great and interesting characters are introduced! Some of the hightlights of this arc so far is Kuwabara, Kurama, Hiei and Boton going into Yusuke's kidnappers house which will keep you gussing whats going to happen next, Yusukes fight with The insane doctor, Kuwabaras fight with Seaman, the chase between Yusuke and Sensui and Kuramas fight with Elder Toguro.

What Yu Yu Hakusho does better than other shonen shows is that it includes Much better fights, better characters and character development and interesting, dark and suspenseful plots. Most shonen shows today are too light hearted and are trying REALLY hard to be like One Piece *cough* Fairy Tail *cough*. It angers me slightly knowing that Fairy Tail is more popular than this.

Overall Yu Yu Hakusho season 3 is bloody Brilliant! If you are looking for a really good shonen show, check this show out! (start with season 1 first obviously)

un-go

our main character looks like a seto kiba look alike from yugioh, lol

i liked this series because of its detective and solving cases, im not going to say the main character is like L from death note, but he is smart,

the series its self is like a mystery a week kinda thing with the exception of a few episodes,

the animation was clean

i think giving this series a 8 would be to much but giving it a 7 would be to little so im giving it a

7.5/10

Sekirei: Pure Engagement

I ended up enjoying the first season of Sekirei more than I expected, enough for me to purchase the second season. Season 2 continues this trend, with great character designs, adequate animation and a solid, less fragmented storyline.

It still has its flaws. The fights for instance are constantly broken up by orders to retreat, usually when the fights are getting into their stride. I know that all this is to maintain the status quo as established by the manga on which the series is based, but that doesn’t make it any less annoying. Then there’s Hiroto, the omnipotent bad guy. He’s supposed to be this amoral insufferable misogynist, but his portrayal makes him almost likable, which is just wrong for someone who deserves a few good knees to the groin.

Among the good points can be included the English vocal cast, who imbue their characters with so much personality. Best of the bunch is Lydia MacKay in an irresistibly prim and proper portrayal of Tsukiumi, easily my favourite character of the series. Joel McDonald also acquits himself well as Minato, portraying a brave and compassionate male lead instead of the spineless milquetoast usually associated with the harem genre.

The writing can also be considered a good point, as it is more focused than in the first season. It’s not the stuff of creative genius; what it is, is better than you might expect. There is a concerted effort at multidimensionality in the characters, at dire consequences should a fight be lost and at inevitable tragedy in a game in which there can only be one survivor. Not all of it succeeds, but the effort is nonetheless noted and appreciated.

In conclusion, I was surprised at how much Sekirei: Pure Engagement entertained me. If this were a person, then it would probably be a glamour model who also attends your Advanced Algebra lectures. It wouldn’t really matter whether she was top of the class or only average; you’d be more impressed that she had what it took to attend the class in the first place. And so it is with Sekirei. A surprising 7/10 it is then.

PS: I’ve had a good chuckle at the hoo-ha most reviewers have made of Sekirei’s fan service with suggestions of it being pervasive. I don’t deny that the service is there in ample supply, but compared to such fan service masterpieces as Queen’s Blade (I have 1 and 2, with 3 on pre-order) and Manyu Hiken-cho, Sekirei is decidedly Victorian in its modesty.

Jyu-Oh-Sei - 7/10
I actually thought this started really well but didn't keep up to that standard. I still enjoyed it though, especially when he was a younger boy and you saw his rise to power, I actually thought it lost its momentum when it skipped a few years on and he was a lot tamer (in my opinion)

Kiki's Delivery Service - 8/10
I enjoyed this a lot more than the 1st time. I hadn't watched too many Ghibli's on the 1st viewing if I remember correctly. Think I'd watched Laputa and Princess Mononoke, which had their fair share of action and with this being a much lighter movie I was a bit disappointed but this time since I knew what to expect I enjoyed it for what it was, a nice little story about a young witch girl with the usual amazing visuals.

Shiki - 8/10

I really enjoyed this take on vampires. It unfolds at quite a leisurely pace, but by spending time at the start letting you get to know various characters you really feel invested in what happens to them later. It has a big cast as well, but even the bit parts are notable. Helps they gave everyone crazy anime hair to help them stick in the mind, which might turn some viewers off from the drama. Toshio the town Doctor is a great protagonist/hero, he does some questionable things later in the show, but you understand and sympathise with him all the same. I didn't find the horror to be scary, but there was a nice creepy quality to the early episodes before it becomes more all out action. Good stuff.

I thought he was awesome. It was Seishin who I thought should have died. But I was totally on the townsfolks side. No mercy for monsters.
