Lupin III: Greatest Capers - 8/10

I decided to watch these after I enjoyed re-watching the Castle of Cagliostro and because they were directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Even if you didn't know he had directed them, you'd guess along the way. The big aircraft in the 1st part and the robots the second that were used again in Castle in the Sky are dead giveaways. I have to say I enjoyed both parts, fun adventure and that's what I've liked about Lupin so far but i here Miyazaki's Lupin is quite different, so who I knows if I'll like the rest. I'm sure I'll have fun finding out though.

I will add that I've also seen and enjoyed the a Fuma Conspiracy and Secret of the Mamo.

yeah i'm worried ergo proxy might be a let down. got through a disc and a half or something I think.

finished baccano last night.

LOVED IT!

my bf hated the end. made him mad because i guess the characters story's werent finished off. it makes sense as to why though as it even states so in the last episode :)P), but he still refused to accept that haha.

he's upset and has put an anime ban on. doubt he'll succeed mind lol.

Glad you enjoyed it.

With regards to Ergo Proxy I forgot to mention that I never watched it all but I watched most of it. Let me know if you get through it and tell me what you think, maybe there is some pay off but I didn't have the patience for it.

Anime ban hahahaha. Get him told :p

I found Ergo Proxy to be a really cool, dystopian, sci-fi throwback. You don't see enough of this kind of serious sci-fi stuff anymore. In terms of payoff the ending is probably a bit wobbly, but all the series before it was great, I thought. It's a series I really want to re-watch and hopefully will get round to doing so next year, I only hope it's as good as I remember it.

Blood C
?/10

I really Don't what to say about this. It started off REALLY good! Great chracters, great action and an interesting story......All ruined by that awful twist at the end. Seriously! It ruined the anime for me! My biggest gripe is that i loved all the characters, they were all nice, interesting and friendly (especially the twins) but the twist at the end changes that completely!

Can someone PLEASE explain the twist to me!? I didn't understand it all that well! Something about it all being a show/experiment? Please someone explain!

ristorante paristorante

you know that character from princess jellyfish. the one who likes old men, i honestly thought there wasn't any one who likes elderly men, but if they can make a anime that has elderly gentleman servicing in a restaurant then i believe it, but theres no exploitation of yaoi ( thank god) but its a old man Harem, you heard right a old man Harem, but its not bad, it has that antiques bakery feel but with no yaoi ( again thank god)

the animation kinda reminds me of the conte of monte cristo but not as flashy and eye straning but in a classy way,

the story isn't bad * il let you watch it to figure it out*

the characters are ok

to be honest its refreshing seeing something like this for the first time

its not as great as the coute of monte cristo but,

its classy like
the coute of monte cristo and antiques bakery

its worth a 8/10

Howls Moving Castle - 8.5/10 (Re-watch)

Really enjoyed re-watching this. I'm still mesmerised by the detail they put in. I could even see little dints in the wooden door. Thoroughly entertaining. Only reason I didn't score it higher as I felt it was slightly longer than it needed to be.

I'm finally starting to collect all my anime together now as I've been keeping some at Mums. I believe Bleach 8, Trinity Blood and Ergo Proxy are at hers still. I need to watch/finish all 3 of those which is why they've stayed there.
Hellsing Ultimate 5-8 and Ah! My Goddess Seasons 1 and 2 need to be watched too but the bf said if I'm putting him through Hellsing he's gona wana watch it all. Going to try and watch Bleach 8 today as I think, if I can get into it, I'll have it done this week as I'm at my Mums tonight, Thursday day and night and Friday day. So we shall see!

Keep looking at Black Lagoon and Requiem From The Darkness and I'm all zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Think I'm going to sell them both. The latter first as I wouldn't make any profit so with the former yet so with that in mind, it's worth keeping round for now.

Golden Boy

This show reminded me of Great Teacher Onizuka in many ways: the weird faces by the main character, the relationship with all the girls, the fact that the main focus is on comedy but you can find a lot of serious undertones too... Overall they are good and enjoyable OVAs, but I don't think I will ever want to rewatch them.

Score: 7 / 10

Freedom

I was expecting something like Akira on a Moon Colony, I'm glad I was wrong. This is "credible" sci-fi with a good dose of brotherhood and will to move forward. The story is very nice and almost all characters are likeable. There is a downside: you need to set on "high" your suspension of disbelief for a lot of scenes, but they work fine so who cares. My main complaint is about the characters animation made using CGI, it's not that fluid. There are also a lot of good extras on the BDs. I thought this was going to be an average show (this is why I waited so long to watch it), but I've been surprised, it's really good.

Score: 8 / 10

Lupin III: Voyage to Danger - 5/10

Best way to sum it up would be Snooze fest. The first 45mins could have been done in about 15mins. It just dragged on and on. The playback went funny towards the end so I never saw the last 15mins but I don't think I'll bother trying to find it again.

Blue Exorcist Movie 7.5/10

I would like to give more cause im a fan of the series but not sure if it deserves at least 8. The visuals and artwork of the movie are just fantastic and superb. The story is nice but nothing wow Anyway, this is a good movie for the fans of the series like me. I really hope that will make another season one of these days. The manga is going nice at the moment.

hyakko

i can see some haruhi suzumiya + lucky star in this series but more haruhi then lucky star,

the design of the characters are, somewhat unique in a way,

the story is that of lucky star in a way, some episodes the talk about nothing and some episodes have episodes that have storys.

the characters are fun, suzu is my fav.

i think it could of gone on a lil longer for more character development and talking about nothing and about something, its fun to watch.

i proudly give this series a

8/10

Bodacious Space Pirates Set 1

Sorry I can't deal with this; the Dub is a load of badly acted nonsense (that for all intents is reading off the subscript, honorifics and all. Outside of Japanese settings (and even then) I do not want to hear english dub actors use Honorifics, especially if basic acting is beyond their skills) and the video has been poorly re-encoded for PAL playback meaning the music was speed up, I Jumped ship before the ending credits came on because by hell I don't want to hear the ending theme (which was one of the better ones of the season it aired) screwed up like a saturday morning cartoon bumrushed onto TV.

I'd be better for myself just watching the thing on CR though my PS3 making the entire exercise of renting the disk moot. Hell if I had bought it (and it's come dangerously close once or twice when I've eyed though HMV) I'd be kinda angry with myself.

The hell, MVM, ADV?

Rental Rating: Not Continuing.

detroit metal city

* nods head * its definitely different to what i usually watch and its refreshing, but in 1 or 2 episodes what he did was sick,.

the main character is a 100% nice guy, hes well mannered, a good brother, son, and likes pansy ass music, but he has a altar ego thats hes polar opposite, he is a vile, heavy metal rapist that kills people when he was younger * in the eyes of the fans and public *

wish it carried on the series tho, it had its funny moments and gross moments,

8.5/10

before the fans of this series bites my head off because i gave it a 8.5/10, let me explain why i didn't give it a 10/10,

its not my cup of tea, yeah its a good series to laugh at, but like i said, not exactly my cup of tea
