Captain herlock the endless odyssey outside legend

This series has some weird character Designs it's like some characters was made by one person with a humor and one with a attitude of making his character more real like,

The story is dark I mean really dark I'd say it was almost scary if you look at it in different ways

I wasn't really keen on this series, notthat it wasn't good but it's just too dark.

Juuben-chan

His series is like a parody of a show with in a show but not as bad tho it does have a show with in it's show, I enjoyed the main character lead because she chipper and happy,

The fan service was ok but I could of done without the peeing part,

I like it

7.5/10

Black magic m66

Funny how the title says black magic when it has nothing to do with magic, but sci-fi a 50min ova, it didn't leave that much of an impression on me besides the naked lady,

You know those early amines like rayearth ova and violence jack ovas ect ect well it's like that but like I said didn't leave an impression on me,

Give it credit for trying.

Ex driver movie, specials and ova

I havent seen the 6 ep series but iv seen the above.

The CGI and animations nice in the movie and ova,

I thought this was going to be something I thought it was going to be just by watching the beginning but it takes a different turn, no pun in tended but it's simple,

The characters are ok

It's a ok movie

The dagger of Kamui

Very good 2 hour movie in fact this should of been a 13-26 ep series, they could of put more for the story of characters backstorys and a few other lil things, I think it should of been anyways,

The animations unique and thought the story was good too, having said that, this anime reminds me of ninja scrolls it had that feel,

The main character I just feel so sorry for because of what he went though, but it was a great look on where the main character went * watch it and you'll see what I mean,*

Pretty good

I've listened to a few podcasts that said This was quite good, I'll check it out.

With regards to Black Magic M-66, I thought it was ok when I watched it but since then I keep thinking back and I think I'd probably enjoy it more the 2nd time round. I tried searching for the R2 DVD but its only on Amazon at a crazy price. I know there's a R1 version coming soon but I want the USB version, even though its pretty poor

Space Adventure Cobra 6.5 or 7/10

I'm still torn on what to rate it because I really enjoyed parts of it but there is something about old space sci-fi anime that makes me feel a little uneasy. Not the best explanation but thats all i have. It does have a good male lead character, who i found to be quite funny and there were some good action set pieces and chase scenes. It also has some good music and one piece is suspiciously like the Superman theme. Not sure which came first though tbh.

Overall I'd recommend giving it a watch, it's entertaining at least.

They Were Eleven - 8/10

I'v been putting this off for quite some time. I just thought that I wouldn't like it but I bought it after reading some good reviews (well the summaries of reviews anyway). Just to give u an idea of how long its been sat on my shelf, when I opened the case, the receipt popped out with a date of 22/04/08 on. How time flies. As I stated on my previous post I just seem to find something in old anime space shows that I don't like. Well I am happy to say this was an exception. I really liked it, it's a very well character driven story and with no action to speak of, it makes me glad i did put it off as I find this kind of story a lot more interesting now than i did back then. The mystery and suspicion in the story were handled superbly and never did the story drag like i thought it might. I have to say I was thoroughly entertained.

I'd highly recommend giving it a go.

Btw, how many different names does Steve Blum come under? I've updated 2 entries on ANN to say that they are in fact him. Steven Jay (obviously) & David Jeremy. It seems they only wanted one aka (David Lucas) on the credits

Fist of the North Star Movie - 8/10

Violence, violence and more violence. Really tempted to watch the series now, even if its not all dubbed.

Gokusen (2004)

"My Homeroom Teacher Can't Be In The Yakuza?", as it would doubtless be named in the present climate, is an amiable sitcom that sees a hard-as-nails crime syndicate heiress try to make an honest living, by teaching maths at a delinquent school.

It's certainly fun watching Ms. Yamaguchi dispense two-fisted justice to unsuspecting local thugs, all the while trying to stay under the radar of their sneering Vice-Principal, but the central joke begins to wear thin when the show starts to repeat itself around the half-way mark. The obvious comparison here is GTO, with Gokusen working off a very similar structure, but sadly lacking that show's dramatic edge. There's just not enough character development or plot complication on offer to really give the show the sense of variety it badly needs.

Although perhaps making a little more of it than Seto no Hanayome, Gokusen's yakuza theme also feels underemployed. There are plenty of scar-faced goons for Yamaguchi to bark orders at, but actual organised crime is barely in evidence, at least beyond the translator's annoying habit of peppering the English Script with Italian-American mafia slang. Just once, I'd like to see someone 'accidentally' collect their protection money, or maybe preventing a man that happens to be lying on the ground from choking, by applying the toe of an expensive shoe to his ribs. That's all I ask.

If you like your heroines feisty and fighty, rather than tea and cake-y, Gokusen is an entertaining time filler, but, frustratingly, its story is as deep as a puddle and it still left me hungry for the definitive yakuza anime series.

Burn up w

It's better then the first burn up I saw but it's average, good looking babes with guns, bit of drama and a bit of fan service there, but the stupid thing is left on a cliff hanger

6.5/10

Is this actually more standard than "The Yakuza Homeroom Teacher and the Adjective Noun"?

Sadamistu the Destroyer

HOLAY ever time the opening came on I said that every time,

It reminds my of guyver but less violent

The storys average
The animations average

Its a 6.5/10 it's not bad but it's not impressive

Magical meow meow taruto

This series is annoyingly cute,

It's like a parody of a anime with in a anime, and the fact that there humanoid cats that the world has accepted like animals,

A magical cat girl taruto is believed to be aprincess of a magical cat kingdom and has lil adventures with her new friends after moving to a new town

It's cute and adorable and that's it nothing else

7/10

New Fist of the North Star - 5/10

Bland and boring is how I'd describe this. Not a patch on the 80's movie. It was done in early 2000's aswell, which I believe is when digital animation had taken over and I think it shows. I remember being pretty disappointed with the animation around this time, i just didn't like how clean and shiny it all looked. It's definitely improved since then. There was some shocking CG in there aswell.

There was a pretty good fight at the end of the 3rd OVA, which was very well animated. The fight at the end of OVA 1 was decent but nothing more. It would have been a lot more entertaining if there would have been good fights throughout but they settled for 1 touch, head popping scenes instead :p

Appleseed - 7/10

Better than I remembered it being, you can certainly tell its by the creator of Ghost in the Shell, although its nowhere near that standard. I did still enjoy it though. One thing I didn't like was the slow tempo music in the slow scenes, it was god damn awful and it is quite off putting but overall I enjoyed it. Possibly could have enjoyed it more due to the fact i watched New Fist of the North Star and Fatal Fury OVA 1 over the last day and a half, which were pretty poor.
