Oh jea, please post your videos (and pics), I love to watch other folks stuff. :D

do i sense some sarcasm

Why sarcasm?
I like to see what people have in there shelves. The most interessting collections are often from older fans like melonpan or giga (HERE), it´s interesting to see how anime is influencing there lives.

I would also be way more interested in seeing collections from "older fans", but guys who look like they are in their 20s do not qualify as "older fans" imo. o_O

It depends what you mean by 'older fans'. Do you mean fans whose age is higher, or fans who have been fans for a greater number of years?

I am in my 20s (only for a little bit longer though), but I have been interested in anime for about 15 years, though I've only had the finances to really collect for the last 10 years. Where does that place me and my collection in your scale of interest?

Are their really that many Anime fans in the UK which have been around before MangaUK VHS releases in the early 90's? It's very easy to be still in your 20's and also been around buying Anime back in the the VHS era. Still in my 20's myself and my first Anime purchase was Blockbuster rental version of Guyver OVA series :D .

i had ghost in the shell on video once
its amazing how technology has came along over the years
if dvds didn't exist everyone would have 8 hour videos instead of thin dvd boxsets

Collecting Shonen Anime series on VHS would certainty be nightmare for shelf space finding issues:

It places it somewhere, but nowhere near the top rung of what I would call "older fans" (I've been collecting anime for nine years now, so anything even in the same ball park as that means little to me). I mean people who were in the fandom *at least* before DBZ was popular in the West (although credit where credit's due, Neferpitou's pic is incredible), preferrably before 1990, and absolutely ideally before you or I were even born.

does anyone else have a load of dvds that they haven't watched yet cause i notice that fans buy animes and manga in huge piles. im one of those people who buys as many as i can and puts then in piles. i buy animes in piles so that way i dont have to worry about getting anything later.

Yes I'm like that. I remember coming across the complete box set of Death Note in the Newcastle branch of Forbidden Planet on the cheap (I forget how much it was exactly) and I didn't get around to it for several months. There are still a few things that I've brought that I've yet to watch in my collection.

Yeah i buy in bulk all the time and dont get me started on the amount of back log i,ve got to catch up on and then there is my countless dvd-r fansubs which i burn daily, got about 10 boxes full now of fansubs,so it is always a ordeal to figure what to watch,a new show i bought on dvd or select something from my dvd-r collection, its like a massive anime pick n mix heh heh. :D
