After saying for ages that I was going to do this but never really having an opportunity to do so, I am now finally in a situation where I can post this. There are some things missing, mostly DVDs. But I won't be getting them for at least another 3 months yet, they're only a small part of my stuff, and I got bored of waiting. So, here we go.

My collection is pitiful in comparison haha. I only -really- started collecting Anime/Manga roughly around summertime last year, when I got a steady job after leaving University. There is a LOT I would like to add to my collection but I'm slowly building it up bit by bit month by month.

Anime: (Although Higanjima isn't actually anime)

In-case anyone could not guess, I really love Naruto.

Nice collection there, Cel! :) I've also only just gotten down to collecting anime, got a job around October/November and I am also building it up monthly. :) What series are you most looking to add?

I've also only been watching anime since around April last year. xD

Nice collection

Make sure you don't do what I did and go mad now that you have regular money coming in (money goes up, free time goes down).

I have a Manga back log bigger than some collections at this point (not helped by intermittent shoulder pain making it hard to sit and read regularly)

Decided to do a collection update as I am going to be getting another bookshelf soon and a lot more stuff coming in the mail so i thought i would do a quick update before all of that happens.

Embarrassed to post my collection. It used to be epic and I had a crazy spell where I sold everything.
I've bought back most of what I felt like owning again (or got super cheap) but don't feel the inclination to buy shows again that I wasn't a huge fan of that I owned prior. Or, ones that are out of print and way overpriced.

Nothing to be embarrassed about! ^_~ Everybody has regrets, by the way!
And I think having a small collection is better than no collection at all, although some reasons for not having a collection are understandable.

It's inevitable that if you sell tens of goodies (be it DVDs, Blu-Rays, CD's, books, candles,...), that you'll think back and say "why did I sell that?! I want it back!" about something.
And the reverse is true as well... "Why the hell did I buy/get/want that?".. I haven't thought that about an anime yet, but I do think that of a few non-anime collection items. ^_~
And there are some titles that I was perfectly fine with owning them until I learnt about how awesome Blu-Ray is. And now I want to upgrade those before watching them (again). >_<

And let's be honest here, compared to most people on AUKN my collection is also small, so yeah.
Don't worry about it, nothing to be embarrassed about!

Yeah, overpriced and OOP at the same time is definitely a huge problem. Also for me.
There are anime I wouldn't have to beg the UK Anime Distributors for a re-release for if people wouldn't overprice some OOP titles. >_<

I was incredibly happy to get both Tenjho Tenge and Texhnolyze back for €25 each when they were long OOP already.
Hope to find a similar, preferably better, deal for Ah My Goddess S2 and Love Hina Again.

I do have a few older releases again, but lots of the older shows/films I liked have had more recent re-releases like Utena and Perfect Blue so I have those now. So my collection doesn't have age-old DVD's now barring a few, not to mention lots of released on Blu-Ray. Plus, one of the major kickers is buying a show again that I already bought and sold for less than I paid, so a show has to be really worth it for me to purchase again.
It could also be the collection looks so small as I don't have many singles now as most are boxsets so take up less room room.

I'll take a picture later on today and post my collection here.
