Post a photo of your entire anime collection!

I got a couple of the Ghibli blu-rays from CEX where the slipcover was damaged, so I've kept the undamaged covers in a box.

The formats all over the place annoys me, I've tried to keep the serieses which were released on BR & DVD together, but for the shows which is a mix of boxset and single volume releases (original FMA), they were previously kept together, but as the space for the boxsets is more limited than the space for single volume releases, I've kept them apart.

It's a work-in-progress with the new titles getting added when they have been watched.

Previous Update was on 26th August 2013.

It's time for another update. A few notes before continuing:
- 4 Items incoming (3 Limited Edition Blu-ray/DVD + 1 Omnibus Manga) but they won't arrive in time at home so they will be shown in the next update some time in Q2.
- I still have that bootleg but it's not in the shot because it doesn't deserve to be in the shot.
- I started in June 2012 for Anime [technically picked up my first anime in October 2006 & January 2011 respectively] and February 2013 for Manga, it's now January 2014. Intriguing.
- I do have The Animatrix but it's not in the shot because I decided to leave it in the Ultimate Matrix set, you can see what it looks like in the previous update. I do however plan to get a Blu-ray version to represent it (and before it goes OOP).
- Terrible camera-shots due to lighting and the bright sun, I apologise for that.

So let's begin.

This is my new shelf (the one on the left), found it in the garage. I've moved my 360 games to the shelf on the right since my PS3 needs space on my desk.

Good thing I have this shelf, should help out with the next batch of items. :thumb:

For the very first time I'm going to post photos of my entire collection on the web. :D

As I'd like to share how my collection progressed I took the time to look at my Access file when I bought each title and took photos accordingly in one session.
Notes about why some things are as they are can be found at the end of this post, please read to understand. ^_^

My collection through the years:
This is how my collection looked at the end of 2012 (click for 1920x1080):

Then, in 2013, I acquired all of this on disc content:

So then my collection looked like this:

And currently, after my latest orders arrived, my collection looks like this:

And in case anyone wonders, I own these books:

Wait, where has that gone?:
I still own Blue Exorcist (UK dvd) part 1, La Traversée du Temps (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (Kaze FR dvd)), the slipcase & filler box of Shiki part 2!
But I consider them to be "outside the collection". I have considered moving Bleach movie 3 there as well.

As for Blue Exorcist I want to get the UK blu-ray release someday for sure, so it's unlikely I'll ever get part 2 of the initial dvd release at this stage.
As for LTdT/TGWLTT I got it from my father as a kind gift with as use to someday watch the anime in French with dutch subtitles. (I appreciate it a lot, no hate ^_^) I did buy myself the UK BD later on in 2012 as I'd also love to watch the English dub.
As for Shiki... yeah... I don't want to throw away the slipcover & filler box. Period.

Shrinkwrap?:
I can imagine most people -just like a friend on Skype who I showed these photos to first- will wonder why most titles still are or are being kept in cellophane/shrinkwrap. The part of me that's a safekeeper who wants his stuff to last as long as they can without taking too many dents/damage is responsible for that. I learnt that a good way of preventing extra damage to discs if they ever happen to fall is to make sure the case can't pop open. The easiest way to do so is trying to keep the shrinkwrap with the case. However, the non anime part of my dvd-collection has fallen victim to my siblings who were nosing about my room trying to find stuff. (My sis even stole a part of my Yu-Gi-Oh! cards collection at some point and thought I wouldn't notice)

Either way I don't have a safe place to show off my collection so it's being kept at the back end on my desk for now. That's the reason why the LE boxsets I love aren't out their shrinkwrap. Hopefully I someday can figure out a way to put some kind of cabinet or shelf somewhere in my room, but that's a hard task. I have young siblings still so those low to the ground solutions aren't for me, so I only have one wall to work with... And thanks to the placement of my door, window & roof I don't have corners I can use either, which is annoying. I like my room, but I need something at a height, something my mom didn't reckon when giving me these (shiny) closets I have now.

Incomplete?:
Yes, I am missing these (and some others, I know):
* Code Geass R2 BD - I have been postponing this, will definitely get around to it soon, I want to watch it.
* Strike Witches S2 BD - I'll probably get the S.A.V.E. assuming it has a reversible cover without green banner.
* Eden of the East movies BD - If only AOL, Zavvi or eBay would have those as "cheap" as Amazon (used to have them) it'd be easier.
* K-On the series - I want it on blu-ray and importing from AU is expensive. I hope Manga decides to go back and release it on BD.
* Rozen Maiden Ouverture - Plan to get someday, this year probably.
* Ah My Goddess S2 - Sadly enough OOP, and I'm not fond of volumes. I prefer complete collections or artboxes holding the volumes.
* Love Hina Again - Sadly enough OOP and hard to find if you aren't from the UK. And I don't want to spend a fortune on a small part of an anime.

Nota bene: I'm aware of the definitive edition of EotE, but EotE was the very first anime to join the collection, so I would prefer to get the movies seperately. It would be a bit odd to put it in the "outside the collection"-category.

More info:
The photos were taken on 13 january 2014 during the evening, the photos were taken on the cabinet where normally my tv set-up stands.
Also, it probably bugs me more than others, but sorry that the photos are a bit slanting/oblique. :p

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me here, via PM or via Twitter. ^_^

I haven't seen you around here for a while Agent. That's a nice collection you've built up there over the last two years. I'm still not seeing Angel Beats in your collection though ;)
I find it funny that you mention Eden of the East was your first anime purchase, as it was the first title I bought when I seriously got into anime (I bought the Beez Haruhi set a few years prior).

Do you want it? I can see it's on your wishlist. You can consider it a belated Christmas present.

I almost purchased part one of the blu ray blue exorcist from a branch of CEX yesterday. The only reason I didn't was that I had to signal in which to check the price of it to see if it was a good deal.

I'm almost daily here to read the latest news and such, but I always stop myself from posting...
I'm always afraid people will be hating on me for my own opinions/preferences, my English,...
Even making these posts I proofread them a few times in a row and edit them in the hope I don't sound like a douchebag or anything I don't am or want to be.
I worry too much... :p One of my New Year's Resolutions is being more vocal on AUKN, not being afraid of it all.

Thank you! ^_^
I hope to have time this year on 9 april 2014 to celebrate my 3th anime-versary.
Maybe I should finish Shuffle then (Started: 9 april 2011 ; finished: TBA 201X). xD I'll think about it.

I know, it's terrible of myself to postpone that one. >_< It's my all time favourite. (*slams himself in the face* @Myself: BAKA)
As things stand though I want to order Code Geass R2 BD and Angel Beats BD from United Publications in february or march as they have the best price for me at the moment of speaking.

"Do you want it?", of course not, that's why it's on the wishlist. To not want it. :p Haha. ^_~

Normally you should've received a PM by the time you are reading this. I want to ask something.

It's funny that you name Christmas though, my family decided not to celebrate it in 2013.
My mom isn't a fan of participating in christian holidays if she isn't christian herself, which actually makes sense in some way.
And my dad's family... Well, in november my great grandma (1920-2013, RIP) died and they really didn't feel motivated. It's not really strange, knowing my grandpa's ex-wife is dead already (Smoking and alcohol is bad! Her liver gave up on her.) and he's the oldest one in that family now. His father got 87 years old (1919-2007, RIP) but he has a hard time coping with the fact he is the oldest now. He's almost fully healthy and all, I don't expect him to die anytime this decade.. I don't know, maybe I won't/wouldn't be able to cope with such a situation either. Oh god, I'll stop here. Getting way too mental. >.<

Great collection Agent. It's good to see such a healthy amount of BluRay in there.
Thanks! My policy for anime definitely works in favour of blu-ray. ^_^ I will definitely continue to get Blu-Ray releases.

The SRP of both parts is £39.99, but I guess you know that by now already. :p I guess anything below £24 is a good deal? (at CEX I mean of course)

Nice collections guys. Can anybody post a link to some good DVD shelves on Ikea website please as I just have a single White shelf with DVDs stacked on top of it.

Get yourself a Billy Bookcase from Ikea

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/83688210/

You'll want 2 extra shelves aswell

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/03690900/

I have one downstairs and it's so deep that you can double stack things on it. It's also super heavy weight compared to the other book shelves I have upstairs that I got from Argos.

Manga and DvD cases are basically the same size so this should be perfect, assuming you have the space for it.

Anime/Manga Collection Update!

I started collecting anime in September 2013, and manga around December. I think I have a considerable amount for the short time I have been collecting.
If you see any 2nd Season's of a series an no 1st for example: Code Geass, it's because I would of found it for a really cheap price.
