I sourced the materials as it worked out alot cheaper and a guy i knew did the power coating. All together I think i spent around £1400 with shipping.
Which was a massive saving as early in i was being quoted around £4000-£5000
They look new from the day I got them so im happy.

Had to zoom in, all voyeur-like , just to confirm those are not cheapo manga vols like in the case of meeee but, instead, nigh on every anime bluray in known existence. Given thine ethos is seemingly 'every anime shalt be mine, sod furniture/decor', I see many a release I've CeX'd/sold.

Were my life to have gone down another, none-1000+ manga volume path, my room would likely be filled with anime to that extent. Well, minus the DIY aspect. Your dedication would likely move fellow anime collectors to tears, and any prospective girlfriend to a different kind of tears entirely. Better anime on DIY shelving than a waifu figurine shrine, though. And t'would seem you have the money to bypass any such difficulties. Well played, Denny.

My anime collection has grown so large (2045 releases currently) that I have a lack of shelf space to display it all, let alone take photos of the collection since I last did so here in this thread in 2019. At that time I only had four shelf units of anime, and currently I have six units filled. I'm planning to build two more anime shelving units myself this summer for all the additional anime releases I have piled up in stacks right now, but I don't even think those two units will be enough to hold them all. That is all the remaining wall space I have in my basement theater room for shelving. So if I'm industrious enough I may be able to get updated photos done by the fall.
