Persona 3 FES

Thats the best way to go about it, i usually aim for them two guys at the beginning since then you can just move onto the females. Also a heads up incase you might not have known, the devil social link asshole has been moved from the port station to the mall at night now, but they still retained his assholeness so alls not lost.

no problem man.

FYI, you cannot level up a school Social Link outside of an After School event. You can only increase the chance of increasing the Social Link's level.

I demand you explain in more detail, Maximilian. Do you mean you can raise the social links points to max but not level up?

It doesn't matter much to me really - I always try to complete the school social links first. There's a lot of free time and few outside of school social links in comparison to to the inside school ones. And the school girls 'mute one' can date are all hard to please bitches.

Pretty much.

I really don't see much point in the points system for Social Links since you can't level up outside of their normal times anyway and you can only go up one level at a time.

Well, that can certainly be said for Yukari and Mitsuru since you need max Charm for Yukari (i.e. be more popular than Jesus) and max Academics for Mitsuru. Bloody shallow. At least you don't need any attributes at all for Yuko. Then again, that makes her sound easy. I guess Fuuka is the least shallow since the only reason you need max Courage is to be able to eat her food. Not bothered with the Chihiro Social Link so far (up to about mid-October) so I don't know about her.

Chihiro is the girl social link I'm going to try to complete first this time around. Last time it was miniskirt-chan, but she pissed me off too much by reverting on me and not being willing to get to level 10/do the mating thing.

Raising courage/charm is a bit of a bitch at the moment as I'm trying to get my academics up first as that's more important early on, what with the tests and all. I'm not sure if it's going to work out easier or harder to raise all the stats with the 1k per day shrine donations not working in FES - It was easy to get maxed academics in the vanilla version by doing that. The arcade does allow your to raise your academics faster, but the quiz game occurs only a few days a week.

The Quiz occurs on fridays i believe and i think only one other day. despite that, since i was last on it, in october-ish, i have max everything, found it really easy to get everything maxed, even with the shrine now taking up the daytime.

I found Yukari's Social Link rather easy. It took me less than 2 months to complete it, and that was with her coming to me at lunchtime of her own free will. I've even been seeing Fuuka on the side occasionally with Yuko waiting to have her cherry popped too.

Academics is a lot harder to increase, so I just studied whenever I felt like it or went to the arcade for the Quiz Game. I got max Charm within 3 months, IIRC.

The quiz is actually on Wednesdays and Saturdays. ;)

Ahh, well i was parshly right with the two day thing, i haven't been on it in months, too busy, so i just need to get back onto it again soon =p

If I left a game unplayed for two months, I'd have to restart since my memories with regards to the plot would be too fuzzy. And, even if I did remember, it'd feel weird continuing after not playing for so long.

Anyway. With the arcade in mind, which day would you guys say is best to go to Tart-whatever? I haven't yet memorized what arcade activities occur each day, and I'd like to get into a routine of going to Tar-whatever once per game week. I'm assuming each arcade stat boosting event occurs two times per game week, so there should be a seventh day where you can't boost your charm/courage/academics...right?

If you'd rather boost your attributes, Sunday is the best night to go to Tartarus. And yeah; each arcade game that boosts an attribute occurs twice per week.

What's the difference between P3FES and just normal Persona 3?

Persona 3 is the normal version

FES is the extended version with 30 Hours of extra gameplay called 'The Answer', a 'sequel'. And they extended more request for you to complete, added a new social link and gave them all Social Link endings, so they have a 'resolution' now. And a Hard mode

In other words, FES is superior.

well you could just buy it as a sort of collectors item so you have both versions, or if you have a completed save file from the original, you can transfer some of your stuff you gained from that playthrough to FES which can come in handy.

so that's all the new stuff? What's this walking the dog thing? Sounds like a laugh! anything else new!? what about the new costumes ? How do you get then?

On top of the "walk the dog" idea, there is like, taking elizabeth out on a date, which counts as a new kind of mission from her, as well as new missions from her which can give you "keys" to make new Persona which are FES exclusive. You can also get a social link with Aegis, and they aren't new costumes per se, its more the special costumes change the appearance of the character, as in gives them a new outfit when worn, but only in the tower. There is new armor and weapons yeah, but you need to find em first, as well as use the weapon fusion option as wel.
