Iirc the movie has a H scene involving a rape.
Ah, I suspect it will depend on what the contents of the scene is. They probably won't cut unless they absolutely feel they have to.

I've seen a few posts on the Blu-Ray.com forums before that says these sets are actually region free. For those who can play them I've read over at blu-ray.com that the Korean Ghost In The Shell SAC 1 and 2 Blu-rays are open for pre-order for a plain edition at $57 ea.

I'll definitely be picking these up since I missed out on them the first time. Still a little pricey for me (I think it works out to somewhere in the range of £120 for both sets plus shipping) since it's that time of year and all, but I'll just forgo some of the things I was planning on getting this month.
Manga are releasing SAC on Blu ray later next year so id rather wait for that
Yes it's only the compilations (laughing man, individual eleven and solid state society) and not the series.I thought Manga were only releasing the compilation versions (Laughing Man, and Individual Eleven) and not the full seasons.

Jerome have confirmed they are working with Anime Limited (who have it in France) to share costs and they will be releasing SAC next year on Blu ray but there is no release date yet. Only the OVA's have been confirmed at this point but it will happen.

Jerome has confirmed it when asked on twitter but he did not mention AL specifically but as they have the French Licence it makes allot of sense. I've not actually seen the French release so I can't comment on what it looks like. I can't find the tweets relating to this as it was weeks ago and in response to a question.A source other than hearsay would be much appreciated on this one

Confirmed what? That they're bringing the OVAs over?
I'll look for the tweets myself but I don't imagine they confirm anything about the SAC TV series. WIll be shocked if they do
