[Overseas] Anime News & Announcements

Yaaay. I already have the stickers (or some like them) but whatever, I'm in for this. I was actually going to jokingly suggest the CE was going to be the big announcement but I thought it was pretty much a done deal after all of the social media teasing.

Never bought any of Sentai's stuff, so I'm not too familiar with their releases; how likely is it that this will be region B friendly? Because I need this.

It should be Geolocked which essentially means it's region free but the discs are set by country of origin (i.e. United States). If you have a PlayStation it will work on there (as tested by many of us on this forum) but other UK Blu-ray players can do the same however it depends on what type it is (some work, while others won't).
 
Hardly the biggest announcement of 2015 but I shall be picking this up nonetheless. I'm disappointed that we're not getting more with the set though, Chunibyo, NGNL and Beyond the Boundary came with soooo much, maybe I'm being greedy haha. Next I hope they announce Log Horizon 2 or Parasyte release details

edit: just seen the artwork, posted by NormanicGrav - the packaging looks really nice, I REALLY like the spine.

Do you have a UK PS3/PS4/XBone? If so it'll most likely work since Sentai BDs are Geolocked (Checks the region the player is set to and locks out if not US). The consoles seem to be set to US by default. If you have a standalone player it may or may not work. To echo my thoughts in the other thread - box is a bit too messy for my tastes and I really don't like the amount of space it takes up (At least 3 DVD cases wide).

Fuji Creative Corporation (FCC) themselves have sales rights for The Perfect Insider though. A lot of the FCC noitaminA shows have Aniplex or Sony Music Entertainment on the production committee, but none have ended up with Aniplex of America. (Recently Terror in Resonance and Rampo Kitan ended up at FUNimation for example.)

I don't know who the lead producer on The Seven Deadly Sins is. If it's Kodansha, it could be anybody, if it's Aniplex, Aniplex of America are lightly to have the rights.

I dunno, a LOT of people love this show a lot. I've wanted to watch it for a while because it looks pretty good.
 
I don't know if Nozaki-kun was the actual big announcement, though I think it deserves to be seen as worthy of that status because it's really a great comedy. That said, I suppose being a comedy makes it more subjective than some shows.

I'm fairly confident they've at least said they'll be releasing season 2 of Kinmoza, though I guess a release date would be a nice announcement (and maybe some kind of fancy edition with handpuppets and stuff).

Haven't seen the show myself but it's definitely not 'big announcement' material considering WE ALREADY KNEW ABOUT THIS MONTHS BEFOREHAND.

Apparently from Akame ga Kill onwards the stock level for these CEs will be lower which is not good news at all.
 
Also it seems Garden of sinners import sold out on rightstuf though i got mine from amazon jp months ago hopefully this shows aniplex there should be a domestic KnK blu ray

From what I'm aware the set was pre-orders only (like the Import was).

Is that how they're justifying the generally unpalatable price tag for AgK?
