That's very disappointing. I just had a look at ADV's DVD version and that still looks pretty good picture quality-wise. Hmm, that might be no sale then, unless there's a night and day difference in picture quality.

Sentai Filmworks have announced some titles via email, I'm interested in the re-release of Princess Tutu if it has a better transfer than the previous BD (but might wait for a standard edition of it as the steelbook is pricey), I would like to see Rent-A-Girlfriend but will probably wait to see if they release it in the UK, and I'll seriously consider picking up Flowers of Evil - my reservations are 1) It is disturbing and intense so I'd need to be fairly certain that I will rewatch it in order to pay for an imported BD. 2. Still not dubbed but TBF I can understand why, it's not a big seller and a dub would be hard to pull off with the more precise rotoscoped mouth movements. 3. I suppose MVM might release it here on BD now? But that's not all that likely I guess. I did really get a lot out of both the manga and the anime and I still have my DVD of the anime, and all the manga volumes, so I'm not lukewarm on it TBF. Sorry for not waiting for @NormanicGrav to post a proper table first!

I love Flowers of Evil, it is such the disturbing anime, yes! I have Sentai's original Blu-ray release, but my one Oppo player had an issue with the subtitles on that disc, where it would display some of the lines of text for just a fraction of a second, or completely skip them, the entire way through the series. If Sentai has fixed the subtitles on the new release (and I'm sure they have at least changed them), It will be a definite pickup for me.

I think the classic dub was either lost or unobtainable due to cost or licensing issues so Sentai just made a new one instead for their releases.Does anyone know if the older dub for Vampire Hunter D will be on the new Blu-ray?

I'm guessing it's cost or licensing as at least by what I'll refer to as "Discotek Standards", the classic dub is not lost (I know it's Sentai but what I mean is it would be far from impossible for them to ask if anyone would send in their DVD or VHS of the old Urban Vision or Manga Entertainment releases, as long as there was not a licensing issue preventing them from doing that)
I will probably buy the new BD eventually and check out the new dub or watch in Japanese with subs as it's one of my favourite anime horror movies (I honestly prefer it to Bloodlust though that is also good), but I am admittedly dragging my heels a bit as I love that old dub and am sad it's not included (I have the Urban Vision CE DVD release from the US).EDIT: I seem to recall that maybe the dub was not 100% synced to the intro of the film and that was a problem for combining it with the HD master as well?

Just a reminder - there is only a little over a day left in the pledging period for Nozomi's Dirty Pair anime Kickstarter, so if you want to get in on it you better jump soon. The Kickstarter ends at 10:00 am CST tomorrow, or 4:00 pm GBT. It looks like we will easily surpass all 21 stretch goals sometime today, with the last goal being the most important one for me - 5.1 surround audio for all the Japanese Audio tracks.

Australia via Madman has the Demon Slayer LE that seems very similar to the AoA version and a listing for Dr. Stone Season 2 (with LE Variant) in February, will be waiting for announcements about these elsewhere...
