I have the Box version in 4 slim cases, that is the other release and it 16:9, screenshot of the picture when in full screen on a 1920x1080 resolution, so I'm pretty sure that means it still non-anamorphic letterboxed (but not entierly up to speed on the exact term)

I haven't seen it but I gotta respect them for going all out with this release (I love OST CDs) 😅 🤣 😛👍
 
Yes, I'm a big fan of OST CDs, especially for anime, the music is generally so very good. Although, the music for this is going to be a bit different than most anime, with what I remember from my viewing. Some silly, tongue-in-cheek stuff - at least with the OP and ED anyway, lol.

IWGP and Bungo and Alchemist are total unknowns to me, will have to check them out first.

If Haibane Renmei is the same crappy upscale as the JP Blu-ray that looks worse than the DVDs, then I'll most likely pass on that. The image is also not showing any slipcover for it.
 
Ah, ok - so it will probably be the same ugly upscale. I haven't actually seen the upscale, and I really wanted to buy the JP release a few years ago, because digipak - but the PQ for that was slammed so bad, I didn't get it.
