MVM finally announce licenses

Funimation have been hinting at Blu-ray releases of Tenchi Muyo OVAs and Serial Experiments Lain...

They've even started streaming Lain again for North American audiences on Youtube and Funimation.com. And a screengrabber at Mania has noticed that they are streaming the telecine transfer that the Japanese used for their Blu-rays, instead of the original transfer used on the DVDs.

Now there's another couple of shows I'd love in HD.
 
Lance mentioned they had the new telecine in a podcast, although whether they actually have permission to put it on a BD is another matter - we can certainly hope though.
 
Eh, I'm pretty fine with my DVDs of Tenchi OVA. Now Blu Rays, if not a stright reprint of the old DVDs, of Universe, we'd be talking.

MVM never did release the best version of Tenchi.

Or Universe for that matter.
