UK Anime Distributor MVM Entertainment Discussion Thread

It's okay, the epilogue is abysmal. You'd have a more fun time watching paint drying for 20 minutes. It probably animates just as much...
It's still Maaya Sakamoto eargasm, so, well. I like her voice in Shiki mode quite well....

The release is kinda ****** as well. Squeezing movie 5, 6 and 7 on a single disk just seems absurd to me.
And printed on rating logos inside the slim as hell digipack, where you can't seriously expect anybody to be able to read the spines... At least Germany got that one, which is still better than this monstrosity of an "Limited Edition". Whoever designed that thing clearly didn't give a damn about ergonomics.

But sad to hear, that no English release will be in sight. I was always preying for the moment to get those replaced. =/

Do you mean that A4 book with foam as disc holders?

Yeah, I had to do a spit-take when I saw the video bitrates of the Limited Edition. Kazé Deutschland re-authored the discs for the standard editions with higher bitrate, but they dropped the Dutch and French subtitles.

Kazé France will apparently be releasing a boxset and the Final Chapter on Blu-ray in April.

Ooooh! Didn't know about that before. Hope they'll do a decent job with packaging and I can go and ditch those FSK rating logo suffering flimsy thinny German digipacks!

Since I'm big on collecting actual JP anime releases, especially when they are English friendly, Kara no Kyoukai was very high on my list from the very start - so I imported all of the JP sets over the past 3-4 years, with no regrets to their cost at all. I own both the Standard and Limited Edition Blu-ray Box sets, Recalled out Summer Blu-ray Box, the seven non-English-friendly DVD box sets for the art and the OST discs, and even the 3D Blu-ray release of the first movie, Overlooking View. :)

I do also have the Aniplex Recalled Out Summer release, it's just not pictured here.

MVM just got their stock for Monster Musume Collector's Edition.

Note: This set does not have the title on the spine (the DVD cases themselves do however).

Looks nice, glad I pre-ordered.
Edit: Huh there is indeed a lack of Spine Title. Wonder what happened there?

Don't worry, at least we got BBFC and MVM logo which we all crave for in artcase designs /s
But seriously, I hope they'll be able to sort this out without much trouble.
