Re: Manga Entertainment Discussion Thread.

You can do what Beez/Bandai did for (was it Unicorn?) - sell it online and ship from France. It's not illegal to import/possess unrated material provided the material itself doesn't actually break any laws (obscenity etc).

Re: Manga Entertainment Discussion Thread.

I watched some on Anime on Demand, and it seemed to me to be just another shonen show. For a genre that was underserved in the UK until Naruto came along, I'm beginning to think it's oversaturated.

Ok thanks for the opinion. I saw some trailers and it seemed ok but nothing special. I might just take a look at the some episodes.

Re: Manga Entertainment Discussion Thread.

I watched some on AoD, but they never put the second series up, and I only ever saw half of the first because the subs were broken for an episode in the middle and AFAIK never fixed. OK but not special is a pretty good summary (depending on your appreciation for shounen).

Re: Manga Entertainment Discussion Thread.

I'm confused.

The Code Geass, 1 second cut, is not cut from the Bluray release wich makes the Code Geass Bluray release completely uncut. Is this correct?

Re: Manga Entertainment Discussion Thread.

NuraMago is slightly above average for a shounen fighting series, depending not so much on your love of shounen but your level of youkai-otakuness.

The original Uk release of Code Geass R2 by Beez had the cut (frame substitution)

The Kaze BD and DvD are uncut, this might be a shift in BBFC standards overall or a different person rating not considering said frame to be a problem (that or Kaze didn't resubmit)

Excellent!

Thank you so much for the clarification.

Re: Manga Entertainment Discussion Thread.

Hi!
Could someone please tell me that Code Geass season 1 and 2 Blu-Ray released by Manga UK/Kazé are Region B or Region A+B? Thanks!

They are B as I recall, my player shouted at me when I had it set to A. Also, how did we derail the Manga thread in a Kaze release?

Re: Manga Entertainment Discussion Thread.

Manga distro for Kaze, and also do a lot of the communication (the Kaze UK twitter has been dead for months...)

There Facebook page had a post in March regarding Persona 4 Arena but was November before that. They don't seem all that fussed. Like you say though Manga do a lot of the communication regarding there releases, so guess they're isn't much point.

Plus isn't it Andrew who does it? If so think he's way too busy with Anime Limited ATM, who do regular Facebook posts.

Re: Manga Entertainment Discussion Thread.

Andrew is no longer from Kaze i guess and that's why he has created Anime Limited i think.

I was under the impression he still did some work for them but I could be wrong.

Re: Manga Entertainment Discussion Thread.

Andrew never was "from" Kaze - he was, and still is, a consultant; officially his role at Kaze is "Business development of the UK market on a consultancy basis". To quote LinkedIn regarding Anime Limited: "We also consult for a number of companies, including KAZE SAS - so nothing much has changed on that note!"

Re: Manga Entertainment Discussion Thread.

So basically, Andrew has a finger in pretty much every big UK anime pay other than MVM?
