At least there is self-modelling resin here, but yeah does appear to be very RNG on how they turn out...

I have precisely zero relics for Acheron (not even wrong stats or anything) so I will need to switch to trying to get some of her relic set, the Deep Waters one. I have farmed a good number of trace materials so I think am OK there for now (as you say I can just farm more of these as I go along anyway).
 
Anyone bothering with Ash Echoes? kind of tempted to at least try out the start, begins in a day or two!

With SOC/HSR being on some farm status I get some time to dedicate to another for a bit :)
 
Alright so the moment I've been waiting for is here, the Acheron/Aventurine banners. My goal was Acheron E0S1 and Aventurine just E0, so I went in with roughly 325 pulls worth of currency (tickets, jades, and some overflow in the star embers).

I think the end result was pretty good, I lost my 75/25 on the LC but won the rest, I do keep on hitting pity though which is typical of my luck! :D

According to warp tracker these are my pulls and pity values for the rate up banners. So won all 5 50/50's here but everything is red and nothing early. Game giveth and taketh away but I can't really complain here because I'd take this every time over the odd early pull or losing 50/50 and having to pity twice.

For the Light Cones, whilst I did lose the 75/25 here I sort of lost it in the best way possible, by getting Gepards LC which is meant to be really good for Aventurine if you don't get his one!

So grand total of 116 pulls on the LC banner to get these two LC's, and 150 pulls on the rate up banners to get Acheron and Aventurine. 266 tickets spent altogether.

I have about 80 pulls left for the next banner I want (50 of which is sat in star embers but I suspect I'll just redeem for more pulls), for 2.7 think it's Fugue Tingyun or Sunday, for waifu/nihility this favours the Tingyun one but I'll see how their kits look and if I want them nearer the time. Meanwhile, back to saving. I have exhausted most of the easy to get jade sources.

I've managed to gear up and build up Acheron pretty well, level 80, full set of slightly not optimal gear but it's not bad, and her traces are mostly done but the last few are left to do (the most expensive ones that need 14 of the 4 * materials each). She's usable as is and in my limited testing is doing well, but I kind of knew that from when I borrow her from you lot :)

Aventurine is another story though and I need to start focusing my efforts on getting him to the same sort of place as my other SSR's, so that is my next goal starting now.

Bonus things:

Pela E5
Rat E3
4 Copies of each of the 4 star LC's on the LC banner

That's pretty good going to get all those in under 300 tickets, not to mention the 50/50 commiseration light cone actually being the second best one for your second SSR pull! I had good fortune as well and have my Acheron to E2 ,with potentially enough left to try for Aventurine. May mull over whether I try for him or not - I just know HSR will troll me by power creeping him with a less annoying character, or waifu, as soon as I pull him😅

Edit: hah, mulled over for two seconds before using my leftovers and got Bronya instead, who's been a long time coming! So I finally got to use my free 5* pull on Bailu to complete my non-limited 5* collection heh. Very happy with my results!

Yeah very happy there! all useful stuff and really liking Acheron in my teams (though I knew I would). Her spec is pretty good but I lack on crit dmg some compared to where I want to be, just need some better gear.

I think Aventurine will probably get power crept at some point but Lingsha + Aventurine is good for now for my teams at least. For sustain the main job is just keeping the team alive so as long as they do that it's harder to fully replace them (though as seen with Lingsha she is also decent dps especially for fire break).

Grats on Acheron E2, I would love to try but I think it's safer for me to wait and see what else comes down the pipeline :)

Characters seem like big long term investments here, I still need to get materials for basically all of Aventurine and all of Himeko (less prio). Fun to build the team up over time though and always feel like I have an objective to work on.

I tried out Ash Echoes btw and don't personally recommend it, anyone else tried it?

I was playing Nikke instead whilst I wait for new games in general, don't see anyone really talking about it here but finding it fun so far, much quicker than HSR at catching up to date though or at least being gated on progress.
 
I haven't given Ash Echo a go myself. I did give Nikke a go and it was fun and might go back to it eventually.

A new game launched today called Heaven Burns Red which I will give a shot later. It's from Key (company behind Clannad etc) and is apparently very story driven which sounds promising.

I've played Nikke for a little over a year (started just before the Nier: Automata collab) and I enjoy it, though after a point it definitely becomes one of those games where you mostly just login, do dailies, logout kind of games outside of big events.

Ah man, I'd signed off getting any more mobile games to distract me further, but can't resist one from Jun Maeda, and RPG at that! Can't say I'm a fan of the gender imbalance (assuming there is some convenient plot device against the y chromosome in action) but will definitely be trying this.

I tend to play most Gacha games for like a few days and then drop them. It's rare that I stick with any, only FGO and HSR are the ones I play with any consistence. I dropped ZZZ too.

Speaking of, I put her up for loan now if you want to grind with her. She destroys domains very quickly. You don't even need to wait for TB to ult like you do with Firefly.

Ah looks cool, can I import stuff or does it rely on me entering details? I don't really mind that if it helps point out where I can make the most improvements (ideally I want to upgrade gear prioritising on the worst items first).

Edit - may have seen the answer on the import section on the left :)
