Wow, I received my Brown Odoriko Artel Illustrated by Yatsumi Suzuame figure on Wednesday, a dark complexion girl who looks like an Egyptian princess. I opened up the box to get a quick look at her, and holy halibut! All those gold and silver jewelry chains and dangles and arm/leg wraps are small, ultra-detailed metal pieces, I bet close to 50-60 tiny pieces that will all have to be painstakingly assembled. I may have to buy some sort of jeweler's kit with a loupe and ultra-fine tweezers, needle nose pliers, and snips just to put all that body adornment together, lol! Looks like it will take multiple evenings of hard labor to get it all assembled... 😵‍💫

I also picked up another 1/4 scale standing bunny figure to help fill up the top shelf of my new figure cabinet, which I setup to have 18.5 inches of height clearance specifically for tall 1/4 scale figures. I'm an otaku nerd who totally falls hard for those library assistant anime girls with their long black hair tied in double pigtails and wearing glasses! That is such a sexy look to me! Well, this figure has those beautiful black double pigtails, but unfortunately no glasses. I do have a spare pair from another 1/4 scale figure I could try just to see if they might fit...

Ok, well that figure has the nice dark complexion and the small boobies I prefer, but she looks somewhat out of proportion with those thicc hips and thighs, which I don't really go for at all. Slim, slender, and streamlined for me, lol. I do wish more 18+ figures had boobies that size, most of the figures I've been getting recently are still way too top heavy for my tastes.

But actually, I'm trying to avoid any further pre-order figures right now because of the tariff situation in the US for both Japan and China. Since the vast majority of figures are made in China they could easily get tariffed at the current Chinese rate of 30% if the Country of Origin is listed as China by the retailer in the customs paperwork. Japan has no tariffs imposed right now until July 1, so I was trying to import a few more in-stock figures from Japan to get them shipped into the US before then, from retailers known to leave that field blank or list the Origin as Japan.

My big problem is, I already have 6 other Figures on pre-order from Japan that I ordered before all this tariff talk started, and most likely all of them will get hit by some sort of tariff by the time they ship; the earliest one is releasing in late July if there are no production delays. These tariffs could cost me a LOT of extra money just on those 6 figures.

I received this figure from an eBay seller in Japan last week, on 6/11. She is a large, 18" tall 1/4 scale bunny figure with long double braids in her black hair, which I really love. She is also available in a "summer uniform" version with a white outfit and white fishnet stockings, which I first saw available from a few shops, but I preferred this version with the black uniform and stockings, which was much harder to find now with it being an older 2020 release:

This evening I constructed the removable magnetic door panels for my second figure cabinet, and they look pretty good. I bought four 24"x36" black mat boards from a local craft store and a 40' roll of 1/2" wide adhesive magnet strip from Amazon. I cut out the panel pieces for the two glass front doors and applied the adhesive magnet strips to each piece. I needed panels 15"x61" so I had to piece two sections together for each door, taping the panels together on the back side. They still turned out fairly nice, and they now hide all the 18+ figures inside.

I do appreciate when a figure embodies the spirit of the anime, recreating an event or scene.
But at the same time, I can’t help but wish the pose was such to give potential for a diorama with a Fern figure pulling her out by the legs.

HG kit of the YF-19 from Macross Plus. It's a partsformer where there's a whole separate build for the torso and arms of the robot mode, so I've only built the fighter mode for now.

Some of the stickers were insanely fiddly; a few were only a millimeter long. The only one I didn't try to put on was the spaghetti-like sticker for the metal frame of the cockpit.

It didn't come with a base, so I bought an Action Base 5 for it.

Feel lucky that this one came out the vending machine. I would have been gutted if I got the male MC.
On a side note, I was surprised to see the manga in Forbidden Planet's mature section.
