What always strikes me about that song is it sounds like it was put through the Small Room setting on an old Lexicon box.

Whats the code for getting videos to show up as....well....videos rather than text links? Been meaning to ask for a while but it's better for this thread ;x

If you go to the video you want on youtube and hit 'share', then 'embed', you'll get a code you can copy-paste into your post.

I think one of the OPs that I like for both the visual AND audio is Death Note (either of them) while there are plenty of great OP songs, the visual that goes with them isn't always that spectacular. GITSSAC is another that I really like.

You may also have to tick "use old embed code" to get the code that is compatible with this forum.

Oh, merciful heavens no! Confound that Denpa Onna opening! I shouldn't like that--I shouldn't!--but cor, I've never before seen something so terribly compulsive! I can't stop listening to it!

Going to give a shout-out to Hikaru no Go's first opening, as my own candidate. Now, there was a series that was blessed with some resplendent themes. Opening and ending alike, there's not a bad song amongst them.

My favourite anime opening of all time. It showcases all the characters, has a great 80's sounding theme and is just pure cyberpunk to boot! They don't make them how they used to!

I prefer the English version of 'In the Night' to the original Japanese. Good song and a bit of surrealism makes an interesting opening.

Again I prefer this ending theme in English as the instrumentation is different to the Japanese version. Couldn't find a video with the animation but just the song is worth it!

It was a close call between Crash and Crisis, I would have put both up for top 3 but I thought I'd just pick one. Have to agree, the Bubblegum series is top notch for it's music and animation back in the day. I have to go back and force myself to watch 2040 though, I was so appalled with the new character designs and personality changes.

Also good choice for Dominion Tank Police! I was considering to post that too

The end theme is the best thing about Gunbuster 2. Well, that and the bounce.

I like the Princess Jellyfish OP for its amusing references and breezy indie pop tune.
