Beez Entertainment Discussion

Hi Andrew, thanks for answering all our questions and just to throw one more into the mix, i was wondering if you knew if Play.com would be getting more stock of the Gundam SEED singles and the Gundam F91 and Gundam 0083 movies. Most places seem to have sold out of them, save for amazon which still has them for full price sadly. I do love play's discounted prices. I am just hoping they have not been deleted and that we may see a restock or reprint in the future so i can plug the holes in my Gundam collection. Thanks.

hi Andrew

i was wondering if the shows that beez hold that bandai usa steam in there youtube channels could be aloud to be viewed in europe?

Andrew, I heard that the Eureka Seven single DVDs had some issues with audio timing ("Sound out of sync by upto 2 seconds for several episodes. " http://forums.animeuknews.net/viewtopic ... &start=626 ) - do you know if the collections are the same discs, or have they been redone? Any other information you have about the reported problem (i.e. whether it's player-related, which audio track etc) would be greatly appreciated!

I'm looking to buy this series and the local version would be my preference since it's coming out at the same time. I want to make sure I get the version with the fewest glitches.

Did the special edition of Wolf's Rain do well? I've just seen the crazy prices on Amazon for it now - hoping that's a sign that there's demand and the special edition strategy is working well for you guys; hoping more will be coming up in due course :)

Thanks

R

Though I can't provide official insight on this issue, some of my American friends have claimed these restrictions are to do with the internal structure of Bandai itself: Different subsidiaries are expected to provide only for their geographic region, this being the case online as well as on the shelves. 'Bound hands' is an oft-uttered term regarding this sort of problem. One fathoms this would mean Beez would have to host the streams themselves in order for us to be able to see anything.
I could be wrong here however, and to a degree I would like to.

Hi :),

Play.com should be getting stock of each shortly - effectively they'll be going at cheaper rates to celebrate the change in model we're having as well to 3 part series sets (press release will follow soon).

So watch this space, are you attending London Expo as well by the way? If so we'll definitely have some there!

All the best,

- Andrew

Hi,

The BEI stream will not be available, however we will have a bunch of announcements in the near future of our own relating to Web 2.0 and streaming (for free, naturally just now) so will be issuing that pres release shortly.

Definitely something to look forward to :).

Hi Rui,

They should be fixed by now, I insisted the new line get corrected anyway so if they haven't I shall be very angry to say the least with production...

If you're attending Expo we'll also be selling the old singles for £5 a disc as well if that's of interest - probably comparable for the boxsets too - or as close as possible anyway :).

Sold out of them completely so there's definitely a demand - so watch this space on them :D! I'd almost like to do one for BD next as well as there's an amazing opportunity coming up on that front...

Will reveal more hopefully by Expo!

Ahh but you already did such a good job selling the box art of the sets now ;)

Thanks for the reply - I know these rumours circulate forever if not addressed so I appreciate it!

i wonder if beez can only pick up titles that are also picked up by bandai?

if not what would be the chance of say a show like one piece being brought out in dvd sets like in the usa ?

i no funni prob has the euro rights but they look like there just sitting on it :(

Is the first Eureka Seven box set out yet? I'm asking this because Play is still saying it's a pre order and I've had an order for it with amazon for 11 days now and nothing seems to be happening with it.

Not sure what happened with Play, but amazon has it for since the 13th of april.

I know Amazon say they have it but it doesn't seem to be getting sent. I've had this happen before where Play has kept it as a pre order. Then I got a message saying the release date had been moved back. I guess the main question is does anyone have the boxset yet because that would at least tell me that it has really come out.

Quick question. Anything planned for the Expo in May? Deals, advanced copies or the such? Just so I know how many pay checks to save.

Definitely :)! I'll be putting the full press release up soon, but as well as an amazing chance to get your favorite titles cheap, we'll also be launching Gurren Lagann at Expo a month early all going well :).

Stay tuned for press release tomorrow or Thursday!

Or the new Eureka 7 movie?

Re Eureka Seven movie, watch this space :)! No news of yet but then again it's only just been finished so it takes a bit after that to sort a license for a movie like it with good potential :)!
