Granblue Fantasy being based on a mobile game really makes me weary.
Got Norn9 in a mystery box and ended up finding it kind of meh.

But it's a really good mobile game
(resident GBF fanboy here) The anime adapts the early part of the game though, which is now 6+ years old and isn't anything especially amazing beyond a pretty generic fantasy. It's fine and has an interesting art style but nothing to write home about.

There's been some good ones like Princess Connect and Uma Musume, unlike actual game adaptations. I'm looking at you Persona 5. I'm not sure how much story there is in the 2 I mentioned (because Cygames haven't released them here
), but I'm guessing the script writers have a bit more free reign when adapting gatcha games than something like P5.

I dont really remember much of it now but it has that fantasy action adventure vibe. If you like stuff like Arslan and Yona you'll enjoy it.

It is just that game adaptations generally tend to focus on more being a marketing gimmick so a lot of them can be seen as generic and bland with not much effort. But you always find good ones.

Ah, I guess that's a good excuse for why it hasn't come over here yet! The franchise is obviously popular enough for them to keep making anime, so it might still see the light of day.
