Oh, those mystery boxes i've bought are gonna be a big dissappiontment, so many repeats from previous year mystery boxes.
I hadn't even realised they removed the tag line of no repeats from previous years.
 
I got a shipment notification too. I made my order about half hour before the sale officially started, so you could be onto something.

I mentioned elsewhere that Anime Limited are probably hoping the introduction of their £50 min spend for free shipping is going to help them with the Christmas wave, as theoretically there will be less smaller orders to pack and ship this year compared to last year.

Hopefully, that will benefit all of us as they should be able to get orders out a bit faster over the festive period.
 
So, I bought Black Lagoon LE yesterday and it has shipped. Today they have halved the price in the Day 2 Sale. Do I have any shot of requesting the lower price or shall I commit to crying in the corner?

You could buy Black Lagoon CE for £24.99 now, and then return the £41.99 order for a full refund when you receive it.

Your consumer rights allow you to return a product within 14 days for a full refund, you may have to pay postage costs though.
 
Yesterday bought Liz and the Blue Bird - Blu-ray Collector's Edition £14.99 and, from the BOGOF section, The Irresponsible Captain Tylor Complete OVA Series and My Next Life as a Villainess - All Routes Lead to Doom! Season 1 for £19.99.

Just popped in for a check of today's specials and couldn't resist a backup copy of Snow White with the Red Hair: Season 1 & 2 Blu-ray Collection for £12.49 (with postage and £1 off with voucher). It's very hard to get and I may give to my niece as a present.

Question! I remember AL's release for Re: ZERO Part 1 Collector's Edition having problems with the video quality and they had a replacement scheme for it. Now that Collector's Edition Part 1 is available again my question is: do these Collector Editions still have those quality issues or do these have the new masters?

The discs will be the originals with the visual issues described. There’s no mention of an end date for replacements and it’s not mentioned on the description of the item that you can’t get the replacements but I really wouldn’t bank on getting them replaced for free

Tried to avoid movies as they end up being the free ones, but overall unbeatable prices on everything anyway. Godzilla isn't on sale but really wanted the Minus Color edition which is exclusive to this set.

Nope. I imagine a Season 2 license will likely hinge on if the first one does well. I’m not a big fan of shows being dropped either. I do feel skimping on the English dub hurt SAC_2045’s chances of being more successful since Netflix did manage to bring back the LA cast (which is a huge selling point, imo.) We probably won’t know for awhile since the Japanese release of Season 2 came out late last year.

Blame Netflix for that, due to Hollywood accounting they haven't recouped the cost of the dub which means they retain the rights rather than them reverting to the production committee. When the dub is requested for a home video release Netflix are charging significantly more to use the dub than the cost to redub it, which is why Sentai do so.

Glad I didn't cave and get the Blu-ray. I'd love a UK release, but things seem to be moving more slowly at Anime Limited now that they've committed themselves to long-running projects in Bleach and Naruto.
 
Does anyone here have the Standard Editions for Gundam SEED that can confirm whether these are the same discs as the one in the Ultimate edition?

Those earlier discs have a wrong RGB profile encoded leading to some shenanigans with being able to watch the show in correct colours. Have the standard discs remedied this?
