UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Unfortunately my order for The Place Promised in Our Early Days / Voices of a Distant Star from Take Time Out Entertainment has just been cancelled :(. I guess they didn't have any in stock and couldn't source a copy from elsewhere. So I will be looking out for a second hand copy at a reasonable price (not willing to pay £149 for the one on Amazon). And still interested if Anime Limited decide to do a standard edition Blu-ray.
Its still listed on HMV Ireland for €37, but the same thing will probably happen.

The Take Time Out Entertainment website says it is operated by hmv International Online Limited, a company registered in the Republic of Ireland, so I expect HMV Ireland won't be able to get stock either. The website listing says "Awaiting Stock", but I doubt it will ever arrive since it's now Out of Print.

See that. Was listed as in stock earlier in the week.

Plans are definitely afoot for this, so stay tuned!
Great, thanks :). Will the Blu-ray have the same on disc content as the one in the Collector's Edition? I assume the booklet was exclusive to the Collector's Edition, but I won't need it if it is the same content as the one that came with ADV's Shinkai Collection which I already have. I will be awaiting more details.

Also any chance of Anime Limited doing anything with Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid?

OK, thanks. Now, what would be the best way to find out about Sony releases? And now I'm wondering if they could be the ones who end up releasing Nichijou in the UK.
Nichijou got a sub only release in america and as Sony has only annouced AoT like the biggest anime franchise I would put the chances at low... and I doubt Kadokawa deal is WW. Though Hyouka was FUNi UK according to ALs site so maybe.

For now we have been told to keep an eye on their social media (this one for example) and at the moment Attack on Titan 2 is the first step. Once that does well, that will help bring more over.

And why do these companies fail because fans won’t support them with this negative attitudes therefore the sales won’t add up and they ofc will leave. If you are running at a loss like Uni was why would you continue.

It's joke, of course I intend on getting Sony's AOT release (assuming it's a complete replica that is).
