UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Sorry for the double post.

I was wondering if someone from Anime Ltd could confirm when the Durarara replacement program ends? I'm thinking of picking up the LE but I want to know if it's too late to get the discs swapped or not.

Its still ongoing with no cut off announced in the newswire as of yet. Really nice set, hope my replacement discs arrive on Tuesday(Monday is a bank holiday here).

How long does it take for the pre order guarantee to actually show on the order? Tokyo Ghoul and the Madoka movies have all come down in price but still show the original prices.

It usually takes a bit of time to show up, but if worst comes to worst, you can always open up the live chat down the line and have them rectify the price, or you could just re-order now. In general, as along as you've pre-ordered, you'll get the lowest price, just takes a while to show up.

Ah right, thanks.

Brilliant, all the items I pre-ordered are now at or below the price i've pencilled in to my budget :) SAO 2 Volume 1 is even cheaper than I thought (£25 now!)

Officially the Amazon pre-order prices are supposed to update within 48 hours, I'm not sure it's always that fast but I've not had any that didn't update eventually. Still, I often like to keep a screenshot of good prices just in case I need to try and justify it. Re-ordering and cancelling would be the safest bet I'd imagine but if the price was officially counted as a mistake then I suppose that could be more problematic, you really shouldn't need to anyway.

I imagine it will be fine. Besides, surely Amazon keeps records of it's prices. If it goes back up and mine still hasn't changed, I'm sure they'd be able to see the price I'm entitled to. I'd hope anyway.

Plus there are online price trackers (camelcamelcamel) that do that stuff for us!

By the way, How are the Durarara replacement discs?

Since they were reauthored, is there a noticeable difference in video quality?

Everything else ok?

Afaik the video is identical, it was the subs they were fixing

I did a quick check of the first disc when I first got mine and it seems so.

The subtitles are still yellow, but from memory it looks as if they've been shifted as far downwards as possible. You are able to select any combination of audio and subtitles you want.

From a quick scan the signs and subs tracks seem to cover everything you'd want.

Chapter stops appear to be exactly where you'd want them.

Right, with Crunchyroll doing another Makoto Shinkai weekend, I just reminded myself about what was going on with Anime Limited's upcoming in-progress Shinkai collection.

So as far as I'm aware these were confirmed:
- Voices of a Distant Star
- The Place Promised In Our Early Days
- The Garden of Words
- Travelling Daru (short)
- She and Her Cat (short, somewhat confirmed via Facebook response back in 3rd July 2013 - this took well over an hour to find this post btw)

With Andrew and Jeremy around I was wondering if there would be more titles added to the set?

Like:
- Crossroads
- Dareka no Manazashi/Someones's Gaze
- Egao
- Kakomareta Sekai/Enclosed World
- Shinano Mainichi Shinbun
- Taisei Kensetsu commercials: Bosporus Kaikyou Tunnel, Sri Lanka Kousokudouro, Vietnam Noi Bai Kuukou
- Tooi Sekai/Other Worlds

Has anyone who's applied for kill la kill pt 3 replacement received an acknowledgement?

depends what you mean by acknowledgement...

I got a reply saying;

"This is just a quick response to say that I've logged in your replacement request. If we need any additional info we'll be sure to get in touch."

Sounds like an acknowledgement to me?
